Today's plan calls for Lauren's On The Edge kettlebell dvd I'll be using the 18#bell and add on a section of Newport before OTE

I'm going to see if I still need the 15 pound kbell if not I'm taking it back. :eek:

This morning was complete and utter hectic crazy headache producing chaos!

Good Lordy! I felt my blood pressure jump! Tears were flowing, words were said in anger all just to get out of the house on time.

Sometimes I wonder if trying to get my kids off to school on time is such a grand idea - ugh!

Thankfully apologizes were siad and tears dried up before everyone got out of their stops but my head is pounding something fierce.

So how was your morning? Hopefully better and calm compared to mine lol I can laugh now but Oh MY!

I'm going to finish my cup here and get my workout done.

Hey Kathy You must've posted as I was writing up mine.

How are you liking the S&H series? When I do that one my energy is always low and my hunger high. :eek:

Yes I saw that movie and thought it was so good . The movie prompted me to read the book - Great works of art. Very,very good. Glad you enjoyed it!

Good morning and happy Friday! Vilma, you are not supposed to have a morning like that on a Friday! :) Hope the rest of the day goes better. It is so hard to get them out of the house on time -- most mornings!

Hope you had a good kbell workout. I know what you mean about the 15 pounder, but you might be glad you have it. I dunno.... let me know what you think after today's workout. I did providence this morning but where I was uncomfortable doing things I just did swings. It was a great workout! Good calorie burn in a shorter amount of time and I'm feeling my muscles already.

Kathy, S&H is not new for you, is it? I still wonder if I should add it to my collection since I cancelled STS, but I always come back to "probably not" -- I'm just not sure it's my thing.

I'm so glad it's Friday but we have a crazy weekend ahead. I'm already thinking I'm going to need to stay home from work on Monday just to catch up since I'm already behind, and I don't see any way of getting much done this weekend. Ug.

Vilma: I am not the biggest fan of S/H. But, I think that is because it is tough. So, since it is a challenge, I enjoy doing it. Yes, my hunger has been up there too. It is HARD to resist and therefore I haven't been too successful..

Beth: No, I got S/H back in the spring I think it was. Like I said above. It is tough. But, I need that challenge. I am not good with going slow. But, the soreness I experience everytime I pull it out tells me it is working!

Well I finished OTE (On The Edge) with the 18kbell and yes I noticed a difference in the workout. Beth you have a 20kbell right?

I'm looking forward to my 26kbell for alternating on the swings and feel still with some moves I can start out higher.

I forgot to wear my HRM but I'm willing to bet I burned some extra.

I did do section 1 of Newport before starting OTE - Anthony goes fast! Dear Lordy! I didn't even try to keep up with him. I followed at my own pace, keeping my form and kept up as much as I could.

In this section there is a cossack stretch, squat thrusts with snatches all together and quickly; then he finishes each round with ab work- I really like this Newport but I know it will take time for me to get those moves in the order he has the excercises. It's a burner for sure!

Have you noticed a change in your kbell workouts since visiting with the trainer?

I still feel it in my glutes, inner thighs, quads and well basically my entire core section.I esp. like doing clean & presses and know my shoulders are getting worked along with my lats and let feel any twingy feelings in my 'bad' shoulder. :)

S&H is a really good solid gym heavy weights workout.

I haven't done that series since the beginning part of this year.

But when I do it for just a month I see big strength gains when I'm really extra good with my eating I like what I see in the mirror. The bad thing is I dread doing that series because it zaps my energy and I feel I can't get enough food in my body :confused:

What I don't like is that for the exercises you are doing for that day the workout seems to just drag.

But overall for what its supposed to do it is a good series.

I need to lean out some (need to get back to my WW points ) before I do that series again.

Hey Girls!

I had a different morning because I had Jake's parent/teacher conference at 9:20. ... So I went to that, did my grocery shopping for the weekend, and then came home and did my workout..

I did 4DS-- All Upper Body Premix -- Plus a stretch & meditation thingie. I have a feeling I'm going to be very sore in my upper body tomorrow. I haven't worked those muscles like that in a WHILE! HeavYYY!!

Vilma: Sorry you had a crappy morning. I bet it gets worse as the kids get older too. See , now, my 9 year old is up at the crack of dawn still. I wake my 13 year old, and he's resistant. And my 7 year old is pretty resistant as well. Anyhow, sorry your morning started off like that. I hate when that happens! Sounds like you got a great KB workout in though! and that YOU'LL be feeling it tomorrow.

Kathy: Yes! S&H makes me hungry too. in fact, because I just did all weight work this morning , I'll probably get that feeling as well. I also "hate when THAT happens"!!

Beth: Weekends are supposed to be for relaxing, didn't you know that? Hope it's not as bad as you think it will be!

Vilma, I have an 8kg and a 12kg. I'm not sure I'll use the 8 all that much -- it does feel pretty light, actually, but.... I think I'm glad I have it.
