Number of Posts

Ok, on one of the other threads someone mentioned the number of times people post and got into this discussion and when I read through it the number of posts didn't increase with each post. Does it only increase when you post on a new thread?

It increases with each post.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding your question, but your post count should increase with every post. But once it increases, every time you see your name it will show your current number of posts. It doesn't show which post was which number.

So for example, if you post 3 times in a thread, bringing your total to 103, then look at the thread, next to your name it will always show 103 (until you post again). It won't show 101, 102, and 103. And if you go back to old posts, it will still show 103 by your name, even if that's not how many posts you had when you made that old post.

Is that what you were asking? Does that make sense?

also, the post count is not attached to the post itself, it constantly updates as your post count goes up... does that make sense?
