HI ladies..

Yesterday turned out to be a busy day with CCD and drawing lessons and getting school work done. I also had to head to the bank before going to CCD...Anyway, I didn't get a chance to come back a chat..

Today, Vic is working at home. I snuck on here before he could get started. So, I may be able to come back later while he gets lunch or something. Not sure.

Workout yesterday was FIRM Get Chisl'd. I did really light weights for the weight parts. I used 3 pounds for the cardio factor...Today I was thinking of doing either one of the step workouts on the classics DVD or cardio hits or maybe the cardio one off hardcore xtreme. That combines cardio & weights and imax 2..That one is a good one. I need a good cardio today..

Ok, now I gotta get those kids up to start school...Talk to you later..

Good Morning, Girls!!

Oddly enough, I feel kind of awake and energized this morning, even though I was dragging yesterday, and my sleep was in 2 hour increments last night!

I'm bummed I can't run or do step today. I guess I'll go try out the Turbo Kick Round 32, I'll let you know how I like it, Joanne!

Beth, read my post from last night! I had a question about KB!

Kathy: We have CCD on Mondays too. Fortunately, Mondays are Greg's day to play taxi! Hope you have a fun cardio! So much to choose from!

Off i go!

Good morning! Internet barely crawling along this morning..... looking for yesterday's post is painful, but I'm working on it!

Kathy, I liked that get chisl'ed workout, even if I can't spell it! :p

I did a nice mish-mosh of body weight training, some weights, with incredible heart rate factor in there. Quite a workout for me this morning -- feeling good! I did go back and find FF's rotation and I think I'll do a few weeks of that, but feel like I need to work up to that much weight work maybe.

Oh my gosh, that patient, Chris! I know when my grandmother was very old and in the hospital, she was hallucinating about bugs crawling on the ceiling and then they realized she had a cataract problem! Did the surgery and no more bugs, but your lady sounds whacky, for sure!

Kbells... yes, I know what you mean about the more equipment thing, and they are not cheap. I think you should start with a 26 pounder probably, if you want to try it. It would be really awesome if you could try them somewhere else before buying, just to make sure you like it. Too bad about not being able to run while the weather is nice! What a bummer! It was really nice here yesterday, though I meant to tell you guys that we hit 37 degrees on the way to school one day last week.

Ok, everyone's crawling out of bed, so I'd better get to it!

Hey again!!

I'm so bad with numbers! I have Turbo Kick Rounds 30 AND 31, NOT 32. I ended up doing Round 30 , again, because the kids lost the freakin remote control over the weekend. So I can't choose a different workout. Pisses me off! TK 30 was still good, but I really wanted to do 31!!! The music seems better on that one. I then brought my ball and matt AND band upstairs and did the Bonus Stability Ball Abs from B&G (thanks Joanne for the idea!)

Beth: Sounds like a good plan for the rotation. Maybe you'll even stick with it, if you like it alot. And just go REALLY light with the weights. It's ok to! What does your chiro say about you starting to do weights again? .... OMG , that patient at work was looney tunes! But at least she stayed in her bed and wasn't screaming all night. She actually slept some. ... I have "floaters" in my vision . Have had them for a long time. My doctor said my eyes would adjust so I wouldn't see them anymore, but if I TRY to see them, they're still there. .... I was at Ocean State Job Lot today. They had KB's there. The biggest they had was 20#'s. It wasn't that expensive. But I'm still not sure on now to do it or where to get the info to do it. Do you have to buy a DVD? I really wouldn't mind having something to do indoors cardio-wise that I can listen to my iPod music. I think I would like it. And just ONE KB wouldn't be too hard to store.

I'm so jealous! Have seen a few college "kids" run by the house and when i was out. It looks like so much fun!

It was 37 there?? Brrrr!!! I had heard our weather forecast say that it was supposed to get cold last night. So when I got up this morning, and found it a little more chilly than usual. And then ALL morning, i was cold, and my shirtless boys even found blankets to wrap around themselves! Come to find out, someone had turned the thermostat down to 58!!! Never a dull moment around here!

I have to go pick up Zach in a bit for a dentist appt. So I better go make up a few beds and eat a snack before I go..

CYA later!

Hi ladies!

Chris, that lady from work sounds like a hoot! Breaks up the night a bit, huh? The school we visited gets about 750 applications and they accept about 250. So, we don't even know if he'd get in. I'm not sure if he really wants to go or if he's saying he wants to go cause he thinks we want him to go. But we have plenty of time to think about it. What a bummer about your calf again. :( I think we're on our last blast of somewhat warm weather - it's supposed to drop down next week. Oh, I hate when the kids mess with my workout stuff! It's so annoying to have something planned and not be able to do it. Round 31 is louder than 30 - I think you'll like it when you find that remote! Oh, and on kids again --- Colin has been cold and turned the thermostat up to like 90 a few times. We all wake up covered in sweat. He denies it, but I can tell by the goofy look on his face that he's done it.

Beth, you come up with such good workout ideas. I have to check out that bodyrock thing.

Kathy, I thought you were having a rest week?? ;)

Did I tell you guys Jameson got contacts over the weekend? He's had glasses since probably the 2nd grade. He was due for his exam and asked if he could get contacts. Saturday he got a trial pair. They were so patient with him getting them in for the first time. It took about an hour, but he finally got them in. He's getting better at it. But, it made me realize he's growing up - wanting contacts.

This morning Mega Step Blast was on the schedule - don't have that one! So, I did TurboSport instead. Kind of tweaked my lower back a bit, but it feels OK now. There's lots of twisting kind of moves in it.

Gotta run...

Joanne

Going to my teacher conferences soon.

Chris, I don't think you need dvds for kbells -- in fact, I really enjoyed just swinging them with music, so I'd recommend trying that first if you're going to try them.

The chiro says I can do pretty much whatever I feel I can do -- she cleared me for overhead weights even, so I've done some and no problem. I'm so happy! I will go a little lighter for a while though. I'm thinking I may do ME tomorrow, though I was thinking about Lalo, too.....

Yep, 37, but just one day. Most mornings it's low to mid 40s, and it warms up to low 60s or so during the day. Funny about the thermostat stories (or not so funny!). My kids wake up freezing because they kick their covers off and their room is pretty darn cold.

bodyrock.tv is very cool, Joanne, check it out.... she's got an amazing body!

Good on the contacts! I didn't get my first pair til I was a freshman in HS. So excited to finally get them -- but, yes, a sign of growing up! Though apparently they prescribe contacts to really young kids these days as some sort of eye correction thing. My friend's daughter had them in second grade -- she had to be the one to put them in and take them out!

ok, better get going.....
