Hi everyone...

I thought I would get our weekend thread started..

Today is a rest day on the rotation. But, I was thinking of doing something. Maybe even just stretching/yoga or pilates..

Hi Kathy and all the follow.

Yesterday I did Timesaver #4 Kickbox plus shoulders. Then today I did Cardio Fusion Premix 1 (Step only) and it was great! The timesaver workout was awesome too! It was only 45 mins but it kicked my butt!! I sweat like if I worked out for 2 hours, LOL! Yesterday I was very busy and I couldn't check in and today I wanted to check in before another busy day. We are going to an air show they are having here in town so I will be busy today. I hope you all have a great day today and have fun with your workouts!! I'll miss you all!

Good Saturday Morning !

Imax2 planned for today.

Went last night and saw Madagascar 2 with my youngest it was cute , made me laugh in a few spots plus I finally was able to get my tickets for the Twilight movie opening up on the 21st.

I'm going to the midnight showing then again during the day on Friday because my 10 yr old wants to see it too. She's been reading the books and is just as excited about them as her sister and mom are.

Hi All! It was kettlebells for me this morning...... I did the swing practice homework that Tracy had for me, and then I did Lauren's quick fat blast workout. I love kbells! Funny, yesterday I was watching the STS clips again and getting seriously close to caving, but when I was swinging the bells this morning, I realized I just don't want to have that many workouts because I already have so many it's hard to choose! But, I have to admit, when I watch the legs clips, I really want STS! It's just that three day split that puts me off, for the most part. Someone on vf said she hopes Cathe will sell the legs separately -- if so, I might go for that. Don't know why I like leg workouts more.....

Vilma, congrats on getting the Twilight tix. :) I'm sure I'll be headed to Madagascar soon.....

Kathy, do some yoga -- it feels so good!

Ivy, enjoy the air show.... it's funny to think about going to an air show with the cooler weather we have now (though really, it's *perfect* weather here right now), but I know it's warmer for you.....

Hi all!

Well, I'm a lot better after saving the world (aka, playing video games) for several hours yesterday when I came home, but I'm nowhere near 100%. I'm hoping ONE more day of rest will put me back, but then my uncle comes tonight for a conference so probably no working out while he's around. (so until tuesday.) I feel a lot better though...mostly because I'm not as bloated. Gah, I hate that feeling. It was particularly bad these last couple days because I kept on feeling like I had a full bladder but there was nothing. It's nice not to wake up with that. Oh, and I mentioned to my DH about trying Zicam and we should pick it up when we see it one sale and he said,"oh we have it." "Really?" "Yep." "You don't love me, do you?" "Nope, clearly I don't." In all seriousness though, I just wish I would stop being sick. I have so much stuff I want to get done!!

Kathy - enjoy your healthy rest day!

Ivy - air shows? I've never been to one. Sounds sorta cool.

Vilma - have fun with Imax2 and congrats on getting the Twilight tickets. I liked the Madagascar movie but I'm so cheapo about going to movies (the cheapest tickets are like $12 around here!) that I usually wait for DVD.

Beth - I don't like 3 day splits but DH seems to really like it so I might get him STS eventually. Not looking like for Xmas since I've just ordered him a Xbox 360 bundle (he's been pining for it for over a year!).

Ok, I just sneezed like 5 violent sneezes while typing this...getting some OJ...

I just got done with Turbo Jam: Cardio Party Mix 2. Had some fun, and sweated my butt off. I subbed the TJ for the rotation's 50 Minute Run. I also did Ab Hits #10.. VERY traditional, mostly all upper abs. But between that and the Core work in TJ, my abs feel worked...


Kathy: Enjoy your rest/yoga/pilates day. I would do a Yoga/Pilates if I had to choose and I had the time! I swear, if I read in any more mags about Pilates being the "secret" for all these celebrities.... :eek: Makes me want to do it, but I just don't have the time w/ the rotations...

Ivy: I haven't done the Timesavers in a long time either. They are good workouts!! And nice and short too. Enjoy your weekend and the Air Show!

Vilma: Oh I know you will just love your workout today! IMAX2 rocks! I need to take my boys to the movies one of these days. They want to see Madagascar 2 as well. I'm on another online group of moms and there are quite few that are into the Twilight series too! And a few friends at work. I just can't commit to that much time reading, otherwise I would be in as well! Maybe I'll wait until they come out on DVD, and get the books read by then! :eek:

Beth: Great KB workout today! I Know what you mean about STS Legs. I watched the other clips and thought, "Oh, not special. not sure if I will like this". But then I LOVED the leg clip too! And I lower body is my least favorite to work! LOL!! I bet you could get just the lower body STS at some point. Maybe even on Ebay?

Speaking of Ebay.... Vilma!... you could always go there to get single Turbo Jam workouts. I found this one this morning:

Joanne and Beth: thanks for the encouragement yesterday. I hope the candy doesn't get me today again. I need a BETTER weekend. Maybe not squeaky clean, but BETTER eating!! Bad Evil Halloween leftovers!! I'm really trying not to dread work and finding out about my co-workers. Another thing I thought of. We also made our own "committee" (for patient education) to satisfy the Clinical 3 requirement of being on a committee. So if they pass, and I didn't, I'm on this committee with them as well!! I probably should try to re-apply.

Glad you're feeling a bit better.... I can't believe your hubby hid the Zicam on you! Bad bad DH!!

Beth... I also forgot to thank you for the Zipfizz heads up! I will continue to look. I had looked online and the website SAID the Rite Aid in town carried it. They thought i had 3 heads when I asked for it. We looked at Vitamins, Energy supplements (like No-doze) and then at the energy/protein bars/diet aides section. None. Maybe target though! ....

Okay, NOW I'm moving out of this chair....
 
Vilma: Have fun with Imax 2! The closest base is about 40 mins away, but the Air Show is at the Kennedy Space Center which is about 20 mins from here. My DH has to be there today for his work since he’s a Navy Recruiter and he was able to get us to go too. I’m so excited because I’ve never been to an Air Show before:eek:.

Beth: WTG on your Kettlebell workouts! Thanks! This is my first Air Show so it’s exciting!

Hottie: I hope you feel better soon. I’ve never been to an Air Show so this is my first time. I wonder what it’s like. I will take pics and share it with you guys!

Chris: WTG with CP2! I’m tyring to convince my mom to give me hers, LOL! I don’t think she will, LOL! I had Timesaver for like 2 years and this is the first time I’ve ever done it:eek:.

Hey, re: Zipfizz and Zicam. Just went through my Costco coupons and both Zipfizz and Zicam have coupons for Nov 17-Dec 7. So, if you have a Costco near you they probably have it in stock soon...
 
Venting -

Remind me next time to not attempt to be wonder woman and lift a 50 # bag of kitty litter while my attention is distracted and my body is twisted wrong.

I tweaked my back and no workout today. I have on an icy hot patch and staying close to my heating pad along with dosing myself on motrin 800mg of it and my back still is nagging me :mad:

I will lay low literally today and see how my back feels tomorrow. I am so pissed as today was cardio and tomorrow is my kettlebells - I wonder if I have time to do both on Sunday?

Anyhoo I'm off to prep some root vegetables for my homemade chicken & rice soup...I plan to make extra to last for the weekend so I don't need to cook on Sunday.

Hottie: You are in CA, though. Not sure Zipfizz has made it to the East coast!, but I will look! I sooo wanted it for tonight!!

Vilma: OMG., NO! I hate when crap like that happens and screws up my workouts!! ((((((hugs))))))) Feel better!!

NO WAY!!!!

Hey girls! Today is my rest day and I'm going to church for the first time in a while and I'm so nervous because I don't know anyone there and that's where I'm going to work soon as a nursery coordinator.

GUESS WHAT???????:confused: Yesterday we went on our way to the airshow and THEN we got stuck in traffic to go there for 3 HOURS!!!!!!! and it only takes 20 mins to get there and it took 3 hours, but that's not the worse thing. Once we FINALLY reach the entrance they tell us it's packed and no one else can come in:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like WHAT?????? After waiting 3 hours in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAHHHHH!!!!!! What a messed up thing! I was so upset because if I would have known before I wouldn't of never stood in that traffic for 3 hours!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad: Oh well:eek:

Oh my gosh, Ivy! How frustrating! About a week ago I started for work, which is a 20 minute drive. It took me more than half an hour to get just a little way on the freeway -- I took an exit for a back road, and then after getting barely anywhere and it had been an hour, I turned around and went home! I talked to someone else who does almost the same drive and she said it took her three hours to get there that morning. Yuck!

Vilma, how's that back feeling today?

I did a nice brisk walk this morning with weighted vest. I'm thinking I may do another walk with the family when they are all finally up. Right now I'm sweaty and cold -- you know that feeling?

New Direction

Haven't posted in a bit.......my life sh*t the bed this week......lol...I split with the guy I was seeing (for the 18th time)......and my schedule got totally re-arranged at work, which means my rotation needs serious tweaking and I was already cheating on it because of the stress of last week....SO.....new rotation starts tomorrow so my rest day is more conducive to my schedule....and I like more lifting anyways, body responds better...the bootcamp rotation kicked my a**...but it was a lot of cardio I didn't "need"........*sigh*...I hate when life throws curve balls.....hopefully I'll get to personals tomorrow......:eek:
 
Hi All!

My back is still nagging at me and at this point I’m not sure if I should do anything to exacerbate it or not. It feels tight and when I move a certain way it hurts a lot…more than I care to admit to it. I tried some stretching and it really didn’t help much at all.

I’ll probably end up going for a power walk with my vest on – Thanks Beth for the suggestion ;) and try a few swings with the bell. If that feels alright I'll do my planned workout for today.


So I did some retail shopping online late last night instead of dipping into junk food here. You know feeling all woe is me and stuff so that helped my mood. LOL

I ended up ordering The Kettlebell Way 2 – Empire State. I also ordered Lisa Shaffer’s Instructional workshop dvd. I had a coupon code that she sent to her email subscribers so I think it was a good deal.


Ivy so sorry you never made it to the air show. Basically what happens is that they have tons of static displays of aircraft and then some ‘shows’ of flight maneuvers. Its fun the first few times but after that it gets old fast You do walk a lot as you are on the air field. Heck I can say that after 22 years as an active duty Air Force wife who has had to man more than her fair share of food booths.

Hottie Glad your on the mend.

Well since my day started off slow I suppose its time for me to start moving.

Hi Everyone,

After being in traffic for 3 hours, my friend and I decided to go eat out at a restaurant with the kids then my DH met us there. Then we just came home after that. I guess I'll have to wait till the next air show, lol. Have a good night! I'll check in tomorrow :)
