NOV 08 Weekend Check In for 11/29 + 11/30

Hey Girls!

Getting us started for the weekend!

Going to go pump out a quick 4DS: KICKBOX and ABS from PS that I missed yesterday. I'm opting NOT to do the 200 lunges. I was in dire pain last time i did them, and I don't need that on top of my long working weekend.

Hottie: I DID read your post from last night! Will be back to "chat"...

Chris and Hottie, I read your posts from last night!

Chris, you do an amazing job, being a nurse. It has to be so hard to see people in such pain and so sick. You're right, cancer always seems to strike the nicest people. I've known too many - some moms at my kids school - who have lost the fight. It's just a nasty, nasty disease. I don't do BF shopping either. You can get a lot of the same deals online. I don't get the franticness of it - there are deals the whole holiday season. I'm thinking of taking the kids to see Bolt. So you cried, huh? ;) I'm a big sap, too! We always have the popcorn and M&Ms at the movies - good combination, but I always feel icky afterwards. My eating has been horrendous and the scale is showing it. :( I'm really leaning towards FFs rotation. The way you described your body type is just like mine, so I'm going to the do the extra cardio, too. I've always been thin on top and "puffy" on the bottom. But, as I get older, it's moving up. Not good!! If it was just spreading up, that'd be OK - I'd be balanced! Ha!

Hottie, that's funny - working out while a bit tipsy! What a great workout, though! Almost 1,000 calories!! Our doggie is just fine - back to her old self. We're supposed to start giving her these pain pills today, but I think we'll skip them. She was outside running 100 miles an hour yesterday - probably how she hurt herself in the first place. Yea, the Barbies are on the loose here - all naked with ratty hair! Do you still have yours? Maybe you can sell them on ebay. ;) Have you been able to reach all of your family? Are they OK? What a horrible situation.

Well, I tried Squeeze Lower Body something or other today. Ouch!! It really was tough. She does this sequence at the end that is just brutal. It was so hard, I don't know if I could do it consistently without dreading it!! But, maybe it's like childbirth - I'll forget the pain and do it again. Seriously, I liked it. It is expensive though - $20 for just 30 minutes. I did it after doing 4DS Kickbox. I skipped the 200 lunges, too.

Oh, Chris, I have that pumpkin crisp in the oven right now to bring to a family party we are going to later. OMG, that butter! This might be a silly question and it's too late now, but the cake mix, you just put that on top of the pumpkin dry, right? Not mixed up like cake batter (following the directions on the box). That's what I did (dry).

OK, gotta run now....

Hey! I'm back!

Finished 4DS: Kickbox & then I just did the Abs from that workout, instead of switching over to PS. No lunges. Maybe if I'm "bored" tomorrow, I'll crank out a 100. (Probably not! :p),.

Hottie: OMG.. you did Step while tipsy? You nut you!! But it obviously helped , since you burned all those calories!! You and your DH sound like you have a lot of fun there!... Sorry to hear about your worries about your family. that stuff is ALL so scary, it freaks me out that there are people in the world like that. Very sad. I agree, there really was nothing out there for BF worth going out for! How sad you never got to play with your barbies! "Santa" got me a Wizard of Oz Dorothy Barbie a few years ago. And DH looked at me like I had 4 heads when I told him I wanted to take it out of the box! So , it sits, nice and pretty , in the box, in a cabinet. Poor barbie! :(

Joanne: Glad your doggie is better! Poor pooch! You will love the movie BOLT. Especially if you like animals. So cute! And the kitty reminded me of our rescue cat. THAT'S why I think I cried! LOL!. That Squeeze Stronger Legs sceeeers me! I think I'll pass. I have enough lower body workouts I dread! LOL!. Yes, my eating this past week has been horrendous too. And the scale needle is pushing the limits. It's been a hard week. And I think my butt is looking kind of more protruding than usual. So I need to buckle down. I will start anew with FF's Rotation on Monday w/ you and Beth! The weekend may still be a little "off" still, but I'll try to make BETTER choices! :confused:

Ooohhh I have SOOOO much to do. More than usual, because I didn't get any cleaning done yesterday!

P.S. ... Joanne! :. YES.. you just add the cake mix DRY to the Pumpkin Crisp. It did kill me to add all that butter, but man oh MAN, it was yummy!!! In fact, I had to throw the rest out this morning, because I was eating it all by myself!!
 
Ok, where do I begin? Hottie, you're a nut!!! Two brutal workouts back to back?! Oh my gosh..... and doing step while tipsy no less.... I think I'll take your advice on that one. Hope family is all ok!!

The pumpkin dessert.... I feel like I 've had that one in the past -- I'm thinking about making it, but afraid I would be the only one here who would like it, and unlike Chris I would not throw it away -- I would just keep eating it!! Made a pumpkin pie yesterday, but Larry will definitely eat that. I forgot whipped cream though, so it sits untouched in the frig.

FF's rotation -- I'm going to do the extra cardio -- figure that'll be better for me. These few days the kids have been off I've been doing extra cardio in the form of a walk -- no big deal, but it seems like it helps a little bit. I'm thinking of doing a fast tomorrow -- it's a yoga day for me, and I've been reading about combining weight training/working out with some fasting, and I think it's not that crazy.

I did ccpp this morning -- loved it! Great workout, fun. I did it outside on our horse arena and unfortunately there was smoke from the neighbor's chimney blowing my direction, but other than that it was perfect. Did 20ish minutes of yoga afterward. Feeling good! Oh, that reminds me... yesterday I did stretch max on the ball segment -- Chris, that's the one you like, right? I think that's the first time I've done that segment -- I like it -- it definitely made me feel relaxed -- not sure it was the best stretch I've ever had, but it was a good change of pace.

Tomorrow some moms and I get on a chartered bus after we drop the kids off at school and the bus takes us to Union Square in San Francisco for shopping and lunch. How crazy is that?! Crazy! But Niketown is right there, so maybe I'll find some deals. I also avoid BF like the plague... cannot understand why that is appealing. I'm hoping US won't be too crowded. Oh, today is Saturday, isn't it?! So, not tomorrow, but Monday. Wow, I LOVE having all these days off!!!

Just checking in with 4DS kickbox cardio done..Looking forward to seeing what Cathe has in store for December. Has everyone got their rotations set for next month?

In with the late check in...I did LIC today and I was very happy that it turned out great. The last couple times I tried doing LIC, either I wasn't into it or something interrupted me so it was nice to do the whole thing and also in 8 inches. I think tomorrow I'm doing LowMax. I don't have too much time to do personals because DH is finally pushing to make sure we make sushi tonight from scratch...so if I die from food poisoning you know who did it (I love sushi, I'm just a bit scared to do it myself). But I did want to say that it seems like for now my family is ok...but we're still waiting on hearing from about two more cousins. I'm going to show FF's rotation to my DH...it may be up his alley perfectly.

My "rest" day today... I'm kind of gearing up to start FF's DEC rotation tomorrow... Haven't seen Cathe's yet though. I have to get into some GOOD CLEAN eating. It seems I've been eating off for SO many days in a row this past week. I feel HUGE!

I'm soooo needing tonight to be over.... I'm tired of work!

What else can I complain about?!?!?! :p

Hottie: I'm happy LIC went well for you yesterday. That really is a great workout! Did you end up with Lowmax today?

Beth: That trip tomorrow sounds like fun! Enjoy!

Hi ladies. Yep, a really low-key day here. Boy, are we lazy. The kids never got out of their jammies. Now Caitlyn and her Barbies ;) are in the bath, then it's time for the boy's showers and then we're all going to watch the Bears! It's a cold, rainy day.

Today was my rest day and I really needed it. Tomorrow I'm going to start FF's rotation. I didn't check yet to see if Cathe posted a December one.

Chris, I'm feeling huge too. :( Yuck. We went to a family holiday party yesterday. Lots of snacks and desserts. I didn't do too bad, but not too good either. I brought the pumpkin crisp and not too many people ate it. I tried it and it was good. Luckily, I left it there or I'd be eating it today.

Hottie, that's brave - sushi from scratch!! LIC is a fun workout.

Beth, I'm so sorry you had some bad news. I'll PM you...

Hi...I couldn't seem to get my groove one for my workout. I tried LowMax but got annoyed 20 minutes into it and then a couple other tries at other workouts and I gave up in frustration. Took a nice shower and I hope that I can do something later tonight (it's only 430p right now).

Chris - DH has something he calls the two day rule. When you binge for a bit it'll effect you worst two days after but then you'll feel normal afterwards. You'll be kickin butt in no time.

Joanne -- Well, I would snark your pumpkin crisp in a second. The sushi turned out really good -- surprisingly easy actually but I think that has to do with the fact that we had bought rather good quality sashimi grade fish to begin with. We're totally going to do this again.

Beth -- ::hugs:: I'll PM you too...
