Good Morning Gals!

Well If I'm lucky today maybe I can have a 'me' time somewhere today. I can surely use a 'me' time.

DD has her court date this am from when she ended up getting my car in a ditch so I have that today .

I'm going to start the day on a positive note and seek out a chance to fit in anything workout wise even its walking,

Been parking all the way in the back from the stores and walking a bit so that helps right? lol

Have a great Tuesday friends!

Good morning,

So, are we all up to our ears in prep for the big day on Thursday?
I am getting there, and starting to feel somewhat stressed because of it. DH will be at the hotel that morning, and then is coming home in the early afternoon, so I am doing everything for the big dinner by myself. Granted, it is just us and my FIL, but the turkey doesn't know that!
Okay, now that I am over that small rant, I did do my cardio this morning - Tracey's Sweatfest and Cathe Ab hits.

Have a great day.

Good morning!! I was up with Anthony this morning -- did Providence. I'm also going for a walk with Tracy later -- I feel lucky to have been invited to walk and chat with her, but she said she's a fast walker and is bringing her gymboss with her. Should be interesting! :) I could use the extra calorie burn!

Vilma, good luck finding the "me" time today -- I really hope you do! And, good luck in court.

Last night was interesting.... the "boys" hemmed and hawed about the turkeys -- hubby really didn't want to do it and our friend who was here had an "it's just another job" attitude about him, which helped. We almost decided to go buy a turkey. In the end, they did do it, but decided not to pluck -- it seems too early for too many details, but given the age of the turkeys, they aren't roasters, so, well, they don't really need their skin. So, it didn't take very long. Afterward Larry tried to talk to the kids about the native american indians and how they always honored whatever animal they killed to eat -- so we had a moment for the turkeys. I'm not sure my boys are old enough to really appreciate that thought, but they tried. I can't say those turkeys will really be missed though. Sheesh, I'm sorry for all the detail -- hope I'm not grossing out anyone!

Hottie, were you up early for a workout? I imagined a phone call to you..... :)

Have a terrific Tuesday!
-Beth

Good morning ladies..

Yesterday got away from me and I didn't get a chance to stop in and talk with you all..I did workout yesterday. I did Circuit Max and enjoyed it. Today's workout is Cardio Fusion. It says on the schedule something about the all step workout. Is that a premix? I will have to check it out. If I can't figure it out, I will just do it as is..

Vilma: I am hoping to get some me time today too. Lauren has drawing today. Usually hubby is working at home on Tuesday's. But, today he had to go in. So, Chris will have to come with me and no me time then!! Oh well.. I hope you find yours and the court time goes ok..

Beth: Wow, got a REAL fresh turkey! I bought mine in the store Sunday..Hope the boys aren't too upset about the turkeys....

Talk to you later..

Hi ladies!

Beth, glad you got the turkeys done! So, what does it mean that they are not roasters? You'll still be cooking them for T'day, right? That's cool that you honored the turkeys with the kids.

Vilma, hang in there. Good luck with the court hearing today.

I decided to skip Circuit Max since I did Squeeze Stronger yesterday and every muscle hurts! I figured I'd just skip ahead and do Cardio Fusion, which I did this morning. Now I'm caught up to you guys, Chris and Kathy!

I may do Amy's All Pump Extreme for the weight stuff instead of PS. I'll decide by tomorrow morning.

Everyone have a great day!

Kathy, we were posting at the same time....yes, the step part is a premix of Cardio Fusion. It's the one that's 48 minutes on the premix menu.

Hey Guys...

I'm in a total funk today. And it's raining. Lovely. The Thanksgiving thing is really hitting me hard. And I know it's not a big deal, but it makes me feel like crap.

To the point where I want to blow off my workout . Now that's bad.

But, I'm going to give it a shot. Hoping it will cheer me up somehow.

I'm going to do the entire CF , since I need a little extra cardio from drowning my sorrows in Fluff last night... :(:(

Hi ladies...

Checking in today with Cardio Fusion (all step premix)...That is one toughie!!! Getting ready to head out to Lauren's drawing lesson..Hope everyone is having a great day so far!!

Joanne: Thanks..I figured that was probably what Cathe meant...Glad that we are on the same day for now...I am hoping to keep going the rest of the week with no more rest days. We will see how it goes..I have that Amy workout. Can't remember if I have done it..Is it the one that is almost 2 hours or something?

Chris: Enjoy that cardio..I thought the premix would be a little better than the full workout and it was just as tough only a little shorter!!HAHA Don't feel bad about that eating. I have been eating too many m&ms lately and dark chocolate pieces!!

Talk to you later..

Another try because the ether took my content.

Beth -- I thought of you too this morning! I realized yesterday that my BC was wearing off and I needed to start a new cycle because my body was basically entering my period again. It explains the weird fatigue and inability to move in the morning. I didn't get the early morning workout in because of the fatigue but I wouldn't leave the house until I did something so I shoved my DH on a bus and ate a big a hearty breakfast. I did C&W which was harder than it should have been but I'm hoping that's because of the anemia that gets worse when I enter my period. You know, my husband was like, maybe Beth can motivate both of us! And then I told him that we'd feel EXTRA bad if we flaked on morning workouts. I think its a good attitude to be thankful for the food we eat. A friend of mine and I had this exchange about how people are desensitized to what we eat because we are so displaced from preparing it at this point (the microwave generation). And at least you know what you fed those turkeys! We have no clue what companies do nowadays, you know?

Vilma -- good luck with the court hearing. It will probably go smoothly but it can still be a bit nerve wracking for sure ramping up to it.

Conni -- good to hear from you, and don't get too stressed! Have fun with your workout.

Kathy -- did you do Cardio Fusion on 8 inches or six? Because I have to say though I LOVE the BM2 step, I can't handle even thinking about doing it on 8!

Joanne -- you all have been talking about squeeze stronger, I'm getting curious. But its a good hurt right? I managed to strain my right bicep this morning. I hope it heals by tomorrow but if not, I'll just do cardio. Hey, when your muscles are going owie, do you ever go: mmm, didn't realize I even had a muscle there...that has happened to me too much.

Chris -- I'm sorry you're in a funk! Funks suck. I hope the workout pulled you out of it. I don't blame you though...knowing what your weekend is going to look like makes me depressed!

Ah, so I was pretty good/bad yesterday. So, yesterday I stimulated the economy (read: bought stuff). I bought my DH (and me) and Xbox 360 for Xmas and Amazon had some really decent sales for the games. I ended up getting two of what would be our top choices for 360 games. And one is going to be here most likely today or tomorrow and the other in a couple days. But here's the thing -- I've actually managed to hide it from my DH so that he doesn't open it ahead of time (he actually opened his other Xmas gift, didn't even tell me he was going to do it, and I come out of the bathroom to see him spreading it across the floor analyzing every detail). With the new game before a long weekend, I have no idea how I'm going to have the discipline to not open it.

Ohh, I'm so excited there's only one more day of work this week!!!

BBL!!!!

Hi.... I'm back.... had a nice walk with Tracy -- she didn't bring out the gymboss, phew! :) We did walk at a nice brisk pace.

Joanne, to get into the gory details, instead of plucking, the turkeys were skinned. Because they are sort of old (a little less than a year, believe it or not!) we are told they are going to have to be cooked in a way other than roasting. Given that, the skin was not so important, so the guys took the easy way out in the preping job. I'm actually not cooking them -- they are being transported to San Francisco today to our friend's house (the ones with the new baby who are hosting), and they (the husband) is going to cook it by some other method than roasting! It'll be a strange tgiving, I think, but whatever. I can't wait to see that new baby, I have to say!!

Kathy, good work on the cardio fusion -- I do not have that one. I'm so not interested in step these days -- too bad, because they are fun, but they were just hurting too much. I still plan to join in on the IMAX Friday's -- I love that idea, but other than that, I'm going to try to get cardio in ways that hurt my joints less. Sometimes figuring out what that is is tough! Hmmm, cardio on tap tomorrow -- what should I do?! Anyone care to suggest something?

Hottie, you know I was sort of kidding about a wake up call, but sort of not. The thing is, I'm up anyway, so it's no trouble for me -- I would just be so paranoid about dialing a phone at that time of day. What if you really don't want to wake up? What if you had a really crappy night of sleep and you've just dozed off finally? What if I get the wrong number?! :)

Chris, see my pm and cheer up, ok?

-Beth

Chris, sorry you're feeling so blah! The holidays sometimes can be depressing if things aren't the way we wish they were. Although things kind of sucked (sorry to be so blunt!) for my family over the last couple months, they are looking up and I'm trying to focus on the things to be thankful for, like my kids health and DH and I both having relatively secure jobs when others are struggling so much. I hope you were able to do Cardio Fusion and it lifted you up a bit!

Beth, OK, I have to ask, what other way is there to cook a turkey besides roasting? I'm learning so much about turkeys! :) Yea, I figured they were skinned. Enjoy the new baby. They are so adorable! And, it's nice to hand them over to mom! Do you have any of Amy Bento's cardio? I don't like hi/lo, but hers is really fun. Christi Taylor, too. How about kickboxing? Have you tried Turbo Jam?

Hottie, yes, Squeeze Stronger is a good hurt, if there is such a thing! It's more upper body than lower. I think I need to work on my form for the lower body stuff for it to be more effective. She has a new lower body workout that I just ordered. Umm, yea, I know what you mean about having muscles you didn't even know were muscles. Like under my muffin top (or, as they used to call it, love handles ;)) Squeeze is the only workout that's ever made me sore there. Good for you for helping out the economy. We all must do our part, right? ;)

Kathy, yes, All Pump Extreme is over two hours if you do the whole thing. But she has premixes for a three-day split, so that's what I think I'm going to do. Also she does almost three sets of everything - I think two are plenty for some of the exercises, so I'll just skip the third set to shorten it.

I was over at Amy's site and she has some really good rotations. I might feel like a traitor, but I'm thinking of following one of them next month - depending on what Cathe has. I just need a change of pace, I think. Can I still post with all of you if I'm not doing Cathe? I'm sure I can, 'cause you all love me, right?! OK, I'm being kind of silly, but it's a goofy day here!

BBL....

Joanne: We would miss you tons if you didn't...I am sure I will end up doing Cathe's rotation. But, I enjoyed doing a week of Amy's at the end of October..

Beth: Maybe a nice long walk for cardio or bike or do you have a treadmill?

Hottie: I used 8" for the whole thing. It was tough!!!

Hey Gals!

So I'm feeling a bit better.

I did the entire Cardio Fusion (on 6 inch step though I could have done 8. I kept thinking the 6 was kind of easy). But I did the entire Drill Max on the end, THAT kicked my buttOCKS!

I think it did make me feel better to get those endorphins going.

I also talked to my sister and my mom. And we laughed. See, that's why i'm sad, I'm going to miss that ...

Anyhow... I'm doing prepping for OUR Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow for supper.

Beth: Oh my on the turkey experience! It doesn't gross me out READING about it, but I'm sure I couldn't BE there. In fact, there was as thing on "Samantha Who" last night about her seeing her dad "prep the chickens" at work. She reacted totally how I feel. It's got to be done, and I'll eat it, but I don't want to SEE it! Maybe they'll do the "Turkey Fryer" thing? Do let us know how it tastes!! I getcha on the Step lately. Actually, Cathe's rotation this month has been very limited in Step. I've liked the break from it, esp. since my calf FINALLY feels normal! Maybe you could do Drill Max premix or for Sh&$% and giggles, do the Hi/Lo from Maximum Intense Cardio?!?! Dare ya!!!!

Joanne: Great to share a workout with you and Kathy today!!! You have the TOTAL right idea on looking at things to be thankful for. I should be grateful I HAVE a job to go to on Thursday! Really, it's so true. I will think of that as I'm picking poo off the floor on Thursday night instead of eating Pumpkin Pie and drinking coffee (LOL!!). YOu BETTER stay on this check-in no matter WHAT you do! (well, maybe not a Richard Simmons rotation.... hmmmmm!)

Hottie: Thanks for the empathy. I'm guessing I'll have my ups and downs about it. I can't help it, as pathetic as I sound. I'm sorry you're having TOM and anemia! Of course C&W or ANY workout would be more tiring! At least you had the motivation to do it!! OMG..ENjoy that XBOX 360!! My husband (and boys) are into all those video systems. I think by this time, my DH has ALL of them (shakes head). I used to be into them. When it was Nintendo, and it was Mario Bros. and Tetris (my ultimate favorite video game!). But I lost interest after it got higher tech! Anyhow, for a HUGE suprise last year , I got my DH the XBOX 360 for Christmas. He was sooooo surprised!!! It's funner keeping it a secret!!! do it!!!

Okay, my turn to clean the kitchen, since hubby took Zach to b-ball practice. and then I have to boil the turkey's "gizzards" for stuffing! Woo HOO! Fun Joy Fun!!

Kathy, I'm so impressed with you using the 8"!! I've never even gotten through all of low max on 8", I must confess!

Joanne, I have tried Amy's cardio and find the choreo way too hard for my little brain at 5am (of course, that was pre-zipfizz -- lol). I'm embarassed to say that even the turbo jams seem too hard for me -- how lame is that?! I think Kathy's right -- I should stick with a long walk. We do have a bike and elliptical, so could do one of those also.... especially if it's raining, which is predicted. Yes, Hottie, we finally have fall!

Joanne, of course we want you to still post here if you do an Amy rotation! You are part of the gang!

-Beth

P.S. Joanne, don't know if you'll see this, but.... I think you can do to turkey whatever you might do to chicken, but I just talked to my friends and they are going to be doing a coq au vin kind of thing with it, and if it turns out the meat is not tough, they are going to wrap the second one in cheesecloth somehow and roast it traditionally (well, as traditionally as possible).
