This is your wake up call!


Rest Day for me today - it's DH's off day and I'll be once again gone for most of the day - We have plans to check out another new community thats being developed as the one we are interested in only has 30 lots still open and it doesn't look like we'll be moving before those lots are sold and built.

No biggie as the capital city is still growing here. The same builder we are interested in has this other area so we'll see.

I did enjoy CCv7 I tell ya - that one is my favorite must be those guitars - I'm a sucker for guitars & erm guitar players :eek: Something about a guy's hands struming those strings yumm! LOL

Hottie I just have to say you are so pretty - quickly glanced over yesterday's thread and saw your avatar.

Chris That TJ KickPunch & Jam sounds like fun - too bad thats not sold alone.

Joanne for some reason had you pegged for living in California along w/ Beth & Hottie. I can imagine the celebration feel over there - We are happy our vote counted too for him.

Since I picked up the kettlebells I have no pull for those 3 day splits - perhaps after the honeymoon period with the kbells but for now I am throughly happy with my progress.

I moved up to my 15 # kettlebell for Windmills into overhead squats and progressing with the Turkish Get Ups although I need to remember to engage my core better with them . Holding the 15 # bell doing those moves is not so bad.
Guess my strength has improved after a month using them. :)

Today's workout is going to be step heat. I know what muscle groups I worked yesterday as they are screaming today. It is going to be tough lifting my arms up doing cardio today. My chest and triceps are SORE!!

Kathy... I don't have Step Heat, I will probably do one off of Cardio Hits tomorrow. Or MIGHT join the "IMAX2" group from OD, not sure yet. If I did, I would trade IMAX original for IMAX2 on Monday's workout. (Just thinking out loud...)

I ended up waking up with a crap headache this morning. I've come to the deduction it has something to do with my sinuses. So, I used my newly purchased Neti Pot! And it took the edge off of the headache!! I'm pretty excited about it. Though it felt so weird. Have any of you guys used one?

Today for me (after I get done here) is GS: Chest & Triceps and then 30 minute Bike Ride. Which I wouldn't totally mind doing, except it's drizzly/rainy out. So I'll do something steady-state for 30 minutes. Not sure what until I look at my choices.... NON step though..

Hi All! I am completely humbled this morning. I did Squeeze Stronger -- it's amazing how you can feel so strong after doing Cathe for so long, and then something comes along like this and makes you realize how important it is to mix things up. Her ab work was amazing -- just subtle changes but I really felt it. I think I may come up with a rotation that's squeeze stronger + kettlebells and cardio, then the next month use pyramids + kbells & cardio, and then the third month GS & 4DS.

Chris, I decided to join in the IMAX group and I'm going to do I2 tomorrow -- it's so much fun. I rearranged my week to put it in (was going to do cardio today).

Ivy, congrats on the job -- that's terrific!

Joanne, I also forgot about the Chicago connection -- how exciting!

Ok, I really have to get my kids ready for school! Maybe more later.....

Vilma, enjoy your day with hubby and neighborhood/house hunting! OK, I've always had a thing for musicians, but more drummers, for some reason. :)

Beth, I have Squeeze Stronger and have done it twice. Just wait, in a day or two your sides will be sooooo sore!! At least mine were from those side to side things she does. I've actually been trying to figure out how to work it in the Nov. rotation.

Hi Randi!! How awesome - you are going to nursing school? That's great! Wow, what a week of workouts! I don't think I've ever done any of the hardcore extreme workouts. Need to try them.

Chris, no, I've never tried a neti-pot, but heard they are really good for clearing out your sinuses. Hmmm, I might try to join in the Imax group tomorrow. I need to do some type of chest and back work, maybe I could add on Imax2.

Kathy, I don't think I have Step Heat. It's fun to do some of Cathe's older step workouts, though.

Today I subbed Amy's Hi/lo cardio knockout (or some such title!) for Cardio Kicks. Fun! Well, except when Caitlyn woke up and told me my butt was jiggling when I jumped. Kids!

Joanne: I don't think I have tried that one. If I have it was a while ago and only once. I was thinking of doing Amy's hi-lo dome workout tomorrow in place of the interval run. Haven't decided yet. HA...my kids like to inform me of those details too. I always tell them at least I am doing something!!

Beth: Haven't tried that one. I was looking around on the fit by cathe stuff yesterday trying to decide what to get. I was considering the kettlebells. Don't know yet. I want to get her set of resistant bands and a new resistance cord and the weight vest. I am still thinking though. If I get enough for free shipping, that would be great. But, I am trying to decided if I need it!!

Chris: I have never used a neti pot. I saw them on Oprah I think once when that dr oz was on there. I heard they are really good especially for people with allergies. Good luck with the pushup dropsets. They about killed me yesterday and now today I so remember them!!

Randi: How exciting!! Good luck with school. When does it begin?

Hello Chicas!

Today I did Christy Taylor’s Ultimate Core Cardio and I must say that workout is fun. I woke up this morning and weight myself and I lost another lb. You know, I just can’t believe this because after not loosing ANYTHING in a year, is like now I’m just loosing fast. I think in a month I’ve lost 4 lbs, not a lot since it’s 1 lb a week, but hey, it’s better than nothing like that whole year I didn’t loose a lb, LOL! Thank you all for thanking me about my new job. I’m super excited and nervous, lol.

Vilma: I hope you enjoy your rest day today!

Kathy: WTG on SH. My soreness is finally fading away from the GSCT from Monday.

Chris: I’ve never heard of Neti Pot! Have fun with GSCT today and enjoy the cardio you choose to do.

Randi: HEY! It’s good to see you! That’s great that you got enrolled in school! I didn’t know you were going for nursing, that’s awesome! Have fun with ME/BC premix!

Beth: WTG on your workout! I checked Squeeze Stronger on Collagevideo.com and it looks really good. I’m thinking of trying that one out some day when I see one on my DVDs or maybe trade them.

Joanne: WTG on your workout! My DD told me something like that too one day! I told DH that I need to work this butt and get it hard as a rock, LOL! That is why I don’t run outside, LOL!!

Well, I'm going to take a shower and then rest because I have to cut out some coupons because tomorrow I have to do my big grocery shopping and it's going to be a busy day for me today and tomorrow. I hope you all have a great day! I'll try to bb tomorrow.
 
Popping back in:

I ended up doing the GS: C&T (oh MY I will feel those tomorrow I know it!), when is the last time I did GS??? And then I followed it by Kathy Smith's Powerpush from Project; YOU. It got my HR in the 150's, (my max is 170), so that seemed to fit the bill for steady cardio instead of biking.

I'm having a crappy kind of day. Besides that headache, which has worn off, but left me tired with no ambition, I found out I didnt get the raise at work I applied for. I can re-apply, and make my portfolia "more wordy". Bullshit, in other words. God I hate that! So I'm down that I didn't get it. And I went to Walgreen's to get some pictures made up for my son from my dig camera. They told me 1/2 hour. i went back 1.5 hours later, they weren't done. it's now 4 hours later: NOT DONE! :mad: So not only am I down , I'm aggravated!

Randi: WOW! that is quite a week of workouts! Congrats on starting school!!

Beth: I was reading about Squeeze Stronger on OD. Sounds cool, and tempting, BUT, I'm definitely getting ChaLEAN Extreme (or whatever it's called) and still waiting for STS, so I think I'm good on weight workouts...Wll *SEE YOU* for IMAX2 tomorrow!

Joanne: Is Amy's Hi/Lo "old" hi/lo? Or plyo? Or what's it like? Just curious.

Kathy: The push ups didn't kill me as much as the tricep work. It was neverENDING !!!!

Congrats on your weight lost!! Could you send that over here? It seems if I eat "off" in any way during the week, I do NOT lose. Maintaining is all I can do. Ugh! Glad you enjoyed your cardio today!!

Chris, I'm so sorry you're having a crappy day. And, poop on no raise! I remember you rushing to get in the paperwork. So sorry it didn't work out. I'm sure it has more to do with the economy than your work. I know that doesn't make it any easier, though. And, I think those "one hour" photo promise should be illegal. Never, never, never have I actually gotten my photos within one hour. My advice - go have that chocolate! No, Amy's hi/lo isn't really old style. I'm terrible at describing workouts, but there is a 10-minute clip on her website: http://www.nrgfitness.net/products.html. Scroll down to cardio hi/lo knockout - I think it's called. Really great music, too.

Ivy, wow, another pound gone? What's your secret?? ;)

Tomorrow I'm planning on the other half of Kelly Coffey-Meyers 30 minutes to fitness: chest, back and legs. If I wake up early enough I'll do some cardio, if not, I'll do the 30 minutes on the treadmill during my lunch.

Chris: I'm sorry you didn't get the raise you applied for. Are you going to give it another try?

Joanne: You know what I've noticed is FINALLY making me drop the lbs.

1. I stopped eating Nachos and Wings 2x a week (only eat it once a week)
2. I stopped eating snacks and now I eat 3 big meals a day (I only eat a snack if I feel hungry)
3. Started doing cardio 6 days a week instead of 3 days a week.

I think that's about all the changes I've done so far. I remembered that before I got pregnant with Jr I was eating anything I wanted but NEVER ate snacks and I was loosing weight and I was in great shape. So, I decided to try that again and see how it will do for me and it's working so far. I guess when I was eating 6 meals a day it was too much and on top I was only doing cardio 3 days a week and that wasn't enough.
