Good Morning! Hope all have had or are having a good night's sleep.

Yesterday was crazy - I was out all day I mean from 11am home then again 1245 until 8pm by 845 I was already asleep in my bed.

I was doing my laundry yesterday thinking I had some time to take care of it but nobody thought to put the wet clothes in the dryer so I have to rewash and redo them again ugh!

My son took his placement test yesterday and has his appointment with the college counselors tomorrow so he can register for his college classes, he is also taking AP classes at his HS.

He is under this perception that with his college classes and HS classes he has time to find a job and continue with his team sports at school. DH tells me not to worry that he's sure our overachieving son can handle it all.:confused:

I pray so because I'm the one who is going to be carpooling him everywhere - oh and he wants to start the driving classes too - OY!


Rest Day for me and I am going to do just that.

I have the midnight showing of Twilight to see tonight so I'll be taking a late afternoon nap and caffeinating myself for it lol - I'm so excited to go see it and my DH is wanting to go with my 18 yr old and I. He wants to see what all the fuss is about here amongst his girls hahahaha :p

So I'll probably sleep in Friday morning if I can lol

I rec'd my copy of KBW2 Empire State and it looks good. I'll be doing that one tomorrow. Can't wait :)

Today DH wants to go by his job today to show me another neighborhood closer to his work so I'll be out of the house and traveling the road once we drop the kids off. Thankfully oldest DD is off from school so if the other two need to come home she can drive and pick them up.

Well gots to get moving to start hollering at the family to pick up the pace if we want to get out of here on time.

Oh BTW we had our first snow flurries here - lol it was on the news! Big Whoop dee doo :rolleyes:

Hey Vilma!... You do sound very busy. I dislike days like that because time goes by so much faster. Enjoy your "rest" day and of course the movie tonight!! Not sure I ever felt so strongly about a new movie that I would stay up that late

I have a bunch to do too. Laundry, grocery shopping, bill paying, appt. making, got to make a trip to the gas station to fill up my Durango!... Yada Yada yada... I'm more tired thinking about it, I swear.

My workout is going to be GS: Chest & Triceps and SUPPOSED to be a 30 minute interval run, which I would love to do, but the quicker thing for me to do will be Turbo Jam's 30 minute Interval workout. ...

Off I go!
 
Vilma, the description of your "rest day" is wearing me out!! I'd need a huge nap and lots of caffeine to see a movie at midnight. Sounds like you'll have a great time, though. I did buy the first Twilight book, but haven't read it yet.

Chris, I'm dreading GS Chest and Triceps for some reason. I may do the timesaver premix, if there is one on there. That's up for me tomorrow. You sound like you have a busy day too!

Today was KPC. It was good, but I couldn't get into it for some reason. But I did it all, even the ball roll-outs. Had a moment of panic when I couldn't figure out how to get off the ball without hurting myself! ;) But I managed!

Work is crazy busy right now - it's either all or nothing around here. I'll try to BBL...

Hats off to you GS girls -- that set has such dread for me. I do plan to do it the timesaver upper/lower split some week soon here though. I did KCM Step Boxing this morning (from netflix). It was 30 min. cardio, then about 15 minutes cardio/weights and then abs work. After my two last days of pyramids I did not want to go anywhere near a weight this morning!, so I just made up extra cardio to do during the weights part. It was a decent workout, sort of fun, but I don't think I'll be buying it. That was my first KCM, and I just wanted to get a feel for her. The step was a bit strange because she does alternating steps - R leg up L leg up, back down then L leg up, R leg up. If that makes sense to all of us first thing in the morning! :)

Vilma, you are having quite the productive week! Hope you enjoy the movie after all that build up. Very funny about hubby going along. And good luck keeping up with your son over the next year! :)

Hey gals, I have to go to a "supergroup" meeting (three labs, one meeting) in a bit and I'm wearing heels for the first time in years so everything takes me longer! I will be back later for personals but I wanted to check in with Imax2+run (I took a rest day yesterday). I'll be doing shoulder work when I get home tonight. Great job on all the workouts!
 
Quiet day, eh? Well, then, I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO FILL THE CHATTER!! :)

Vilma -- that's great about your son! You know, I did a lot of activities and took very rigorous course loads and I'm pretty sure that's how I got into the schools I did with the scholarships I did, but I definitely needed my mother to push ms sometimes. That's great that he's all self-motivated.

Chris and Joanne -- Chest and Triceps is my favorite GS DVD. I do all the pushups bent knee though. I still feel it!! Hope you enjoyed it Chris!

Joanne -- I debated about getting KPC...one day I will! I wish I could almost get it separately since L&G doesn't seem to appeal to me so much (and now I have B&G!).

Beth -- thanks for reviewing the DVD. I was wondering if Cathe would ever make a step boxing circuit workout. I would be curious to see what she would do wit that.

So, I didn't get the zipfizz because I was already spending so much money and I decided to be cheap. For another day I guess.

And about the protein intake -- I have a bit of an issue with the findings. So, the new RDV for protein intake is 0.8g for each kg you weigh. So, for someone who weighs about 140lb it would be:

140lb = 63.5kg
63.5*0.8 = 50.8g of protein.

But here's my issue with this. These numbers are based on general weight (and a lot of was affected my vegans btw), but not on the make up of my weight. I propose that the protein values should be dependent on lean muscle mass as opposed to general weight and THEN check the IGF-1 levels. But these things are hard to do and its even harder to study in humans. But that's my two cents. I think we're going to find that the ratio of fat and muscle is going to tell a bigger picture in the end. But yeah...all this high protein diet fads are probably doing more damage than good.

OMG, I forgot how much heels hurt...
 
Hey everyone..

I decided to schedule myself a rest day. I was bumming around this afternoon after the kids were done with their schoolwork. I just wasn't ready to workout. I have a little sinus drainage that is bugging me. But, decided it was ok to blow off the workout once. I am now sitting here wishing I had done it. Oh well!! I will do Lomax tomorrow. I was sore today from GS chest & triceps...
 
Hey Gals!

My "after dinner" tea and down time! I need it, like I always do...

I did the Zipfizz this morning, and it helped sooooo much! I do get a little head "buzz" from it though. But after I get done with my workout I feel fantastic, and the rest of my day, I had a great amount of energy. Thanks again, Beth! I love being able to use it when I feel so tired and on the edge of a headache and not so much into wanting to work out. It was very nice at work too!

The Drop set push-ups ARE tough! I do it on my knees too, Hottie. The flies and chest work on the bench bothered my shoulders for some reason. Chest wise , I could have went heavier, but shoulder-wise I couldn't do it. I did Fat Blaster 30 - minute Turbo Jam interval for the interval bike ride. I pushed it. I sweated. It was good!

Beth: Step boxing must have been very different! Cool you got to try it.

Joanne: C&T isn't so bad!!! (since I'm done, I can say that!).. No really, it was ok and it doesn't last long. I waited to the point where KPC took me a bit to get into it too. Did you do all the Pikes too? I can only do one or two of those.

Hottie: Holy COW, Heels. I can't do them either. I'm a sneaker/Croc kind of gal! I RARELY wear heels. Hope your Supergroup went ok. ... I don't eat a TON of protein, just a little more during the day. NOne for breakfast, and 2 or 3 times during the day I have a higher protein snack with a fruit. (Like Greek Yogurt or Cottage Cheese). And dinner is "normal".. like 4-6 oz of lean meat. I don't think I go overboard. I don't do Protein supplements or shakes.... Hey, you did IMAX2 and a run again? You crazy girl! I don't know how you have the energy to do all that in one day!

Kathy: Hey, you can be with me now! I'm glad you took a rest day!

Homework and getting ready for school time has come..
