Starting out the thread for the weekend!

I'm sitting here procrastinating and trying to talk myself into doing Bootcamp (the original).
Motivate me, people!!!!!

Oh Chris, you know it'll be fun! Pop in that dvd and do it! I'm so impressed with all of you doing low max (the whole thing!) after GS this week! Wow -- you're amazing!

You were so funny with your posts yesterday -- loved 'em, even though I wasn't around much.

I did kbells this morning -- great workout -- I had my itunes in my ear and I just kept going because the kids weren't waking up -- they're still asleep! I think part of why the kbells fire me up so much is because I listen to my music while I'm doing them. I didn't realize how big the music is when I work out. Anyway, I had a nice long stretch afterward with some foam rollering, too. You will feel this great after boot camp, Chris -- go! :)

An update on our tgiving.... our friends had the baby yesterday! They still think they are going to host 20-some people in their small house w/ new baby on Thursday. We think they are nuts! We're figuring plans could change..... Chris, I'm sorry you have to work!! Do you get paid extra at least, since it's a holiday? Hope so! And hope you have a nice dinner with the boys on Wed. -- what a bummer your husband can't be there.

I'm starving.... off for some breakfast, I think. Have a great day!

-Beth

Go, Chris, you can do it!! I bet you're boot camping right now, right? ;) If you do it today, I'll do it tomorrow. I really didn't want to do Low Max today, but I thought, Chris and Kathy did it, I can do it. So, I did it!! It was actually kind of fun! Sometimes I really enjoy that workout and sometimes it just drags for me. Today was a good day.

Beth, is this your friend's first baby? It must be, or she'd know that having t'day with a newborn is quite difficult!! We had t'day at our house when Ian was about two weeks old and Jameson was 14 months. We thought it would be easier than taking them out. NOT!!!!

I'm off to see what the big ruckus is upstairs in the boy's room. I'll be back to see if you did Boot Camp, Chris!! ;)

So for those who bet I would do it: You WIN!!

I do not know why my body feels so dang tired. Do you think it was this week of workouts on the rotation? Do you feel this way too, Kathy, Joanne?

So Bootcamp got done. It really is a fun workout. And the "minutes" go so quickly truly. I kept talking myself into "5 More Minutes", and finished the workout! I did skip out on one thing, I didn't do the ab add-on that Cathe had for the day.

Beth: Yes, LowMax was very tough yesterday! In fact the whole week starting with GS: CT was tough! My chest was still very sore this morning doing the BC push-ups! You sound like you had a great KB workout today! I totally understand the music thing. that's how I feel when I run with my iPod. The music is 80% of it, I swear! .... Oh , how exciting that your friends had their baby! My brother was born ON Thanksgiving, his bday is the 24th. Anyhow, I can't imagine them being able to manage a big dinner. Unless, maybe they had someone else cooking. No, unfortunately, and unfairly, I don't get paid extra. In fact, I don't get my WEEKEND bonus either, since I'm not working the entire WEEKEND. TOTALLY unfair, but that's what Payroll told me yesterday. Even though I'm REQUIRED to work. (And the holiday pay is only given for Wed. night, not Thurs.). What can I do. It will be an even tougher week because I will have to work Thurs overnight. Hardly recover with Friday night off, and then have to work Sat & Sun again. That's another reason while I'm really pushing myself this week. I think I might have to take an extra rest day next week!

Joanne: So you owe me a BC tomorrow!! I'll be checking! YAY for doing LowMax today! As hard as it was for me yesterday, I did , in a way, enjoy it. I really like the music from that workout. One of my favorite mixes! Hope the ruckus was "nothing".

We still have our overnight guest here (Zach's friend). They haven't been too bad. I think with all the time he spends here, I'm used to that 4th boy!

Off to the showers, now that I've got supper on (Crockpot) and the kitchen cleaned AFTER BC!

BBL!

Joanne, good work on low max! I know what you mean about sometimes bad and sometimes good. That one is funny that way. I think I should drag it out and do it again sometime soon.

Yes, this is obviously their first baby -- you guys nailed it -- they just don't have any idea what they're going to feel like. It is set up as a pot luck, but still! I just wouldn't have wanted that many people in my home all at once and so soon.

Chris, I knew you'd come through with boot camp -- way to go! That's another one I should do again one of these days. So many ding dang workouts! I love to work out!

My plans just keep changing this weekend. The turkey deed won't get done until Monday after work at this point. Hubby is out buying a new freezer -- actually it's pretty clever -- it's sort of a reverse fridge, where the big part is freezer and the small part is the fridge. We'll put it in our laundry room that's off the kitchen. We already have a pretty good sized fridge with two refrigerator drawers (which I absolutely love!), and it's mostly freezer space we need, but it'll be nice having just a little more fridge room. And, he's picking up a case of wine -- the last case -- at a winery. We had a bottle of this wine the other night and it was the best we've ever had. He got on the phone yesterday and called the winery to ask where he could get more. They said "we have one case left" and he said "sold". :)

Our sleepover friend didn't leave until about 11:30. We did a little bit -- the boys and I -- and then I was helping Dylan (the younger one who's friend slept over) practice piano and he was just not cooperating, so I yelled at him and told him we could try again when he was ready to cooperate! He got mad and stomped off crying -- slammed the door to his room. I just left him there and as I thought he might, he fell asleep!!! So, it's pretty quiet in the house at the moment. Nice! I'm busy cleaning up the laundry room to get ready for the new freezer.

-Beth

Oh, p.s., Chris, it totally sucks that you don't get overtime for Thursday night! Very unfair! What a weekend you are going to have!

-Beth

Chris: Way to go getting BC done. I am doing it today. We had so much going on yesterday that we weren't even home long enough to get a good workout in...I do feel a little more tired this week. I thought this week had some tough workouts. That and I had a sinus drainage thing going on that probably got to me too..

Anyway, today is Bootcamp and the abs hits....

Hi everyone! I did Squeeze Stronger this morning and what she says at the end about getting out of it what you put into it is so true. I tried really hard to follow her form pointers and keep the pelvis tucked in really well on the leg work and such. I'm so fried and shakey all over! I think the lower body work got me more than usual today. I was able to stick with 5#s for all the bicep and shoulder work -- that's a first for shoulders. My friend does biceps with 8#s -- I feel like I would lose the form if I tried that, but I know I will try it eventually! :)

Our new freezer thing is slick -- I can't wait to start making soups and such to freeze. Need to find some freezeable glass containers as my husband is very anti-plastic these days!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

-Beth

Hi ladies..

Checking back with Bootcamp done. It was a great workout...I also got my grocery shopping done..I bought a turkey breast (we don't eat the wings and legs) for Thanksgiving and all the trimmings!!

Hey Girls!!

As much as I'm dreading my Thanksgiving workout schedule this week, getting up this afternoon and having Sunday night off is soooo sweet!

Today IS truly "Rest" day for me!

Although I feel like I COULD do a workout right now.

Beth: That fridge/freezer sounds VERY cool! Enjoy your new purchase! My kids get like your son did yesterday too. So cranky and then POOF! They pass out! I guess they take after their mother (ornery without sleep!).

That squeeze stronger sounds pretty intense. I know as defined as my shoulders are, I usually go lighter in shoulder work than Cathe does for weightwork. ... I've also cleaned out our cabinets of plastic containers. But still use ziploc-style baggies for freezing (are those supposed to be bad too?)

Kathy:

Off to watch the rest of the Patriots Football game and browse through the Sunday paper. It's SUnday, so I'm going to go with "TAke-out" day and not cook!!

Hi again! Things are finally settling down here so I can post a bit!

Chris, if it wasn't for me encouraging you to do Boot Camp yesterday and you doing it and encouraging me, I wouldn't have done it this morning. So, thanks, I think! ;) I had to get up extra early to do it since we were going to my nephew's boy scout pancake breakfast and had to be there by 7:30 so the kids could make it to CCD. Well, I got up and the DVD wouldn't work in our DVD player. I don't know if the player's dying or if the DVD went bad. But after some frustration trying to get it to work, I decided to just play it on my laptop. I wanted to be able to say I did it, otherwise, I might have just given up!

Beth, I agree about Squeeze Stronger. It seems like the more you do it, the more effective it would be since your form gets better. Tomorrow is supposed to be my rest day, but I might do SqS instead. That new freezer sounds great. We could use something like that. Yea, we've had some door slamming around here! ;) Caitlyn doesn't do that yet, but gets so cranky when she's tired. As do I!

Chris, enjoy your night off! Hope you had a somewhat restful day!

I actually got some housecleaning done today while DH and the kids raked leaves. And jumped in leaves!

The kids only have school tomorrow and that's it for the week. Parent teacher conferences are tomorrow night.

Last week I was really tired, too. I just don't get enough sleep, I think. And, the workouts do wear you out sometimes. The heavier weights seem to make me more tired and hungry!

Kathy, good job on BC! I went grocery shopping Saturday, and oh, what a zoo!! I'm not even cooking T'day dinner this year (going to my mom's), so I forgot what a mess the stores can be the weekend before.

Time to get the kiddos ready for bed!

Joanne
