NON-CHECK-IN....end of Feb.

Happy Birthday, Donna!!

I've taken a few days off working out due to knee pain. Tuesday I did Jari's 1000 workout and I really liked it, and the next day I was pretty sore, but that "good sore"....all except my knee, it's been pretty achy so I've just held off on any cardio and fortunately used that as an excuse not to do anything! This weekend I am VERY short on time but I am going to push myself to do a 30 minute workout both on Saturday and Sunday!

As far as my fitness goals...a little background. I was a chubby child, starting since about 5th grade. In 7th grade I stopped eating and lost about 20 lbs. Since then my weight has crept up and although I've pretty much been obsessed with dieting/exercise/fitness I no longer starve myself. Despite my eternal "dieting" over the years I"ve managed to pack on an extra 15-20 lbs that I cant seem to lose. So my overall goals are to at least lose a healthy 10 lbs and stay on track alot more consistently with my healthy food choices. I am an emotional eater, so this is a struggle. I also have IBS so that tends to make things interesting as well! My family histor is riddled with diabetes, high blood pressure etc so I definitely want to just "be healthy" to avoid those problems. My dream goal is of course to look like a super-model but hey that aint happenin!! ;)

My short term fitness goals...havnet decided. I was going to do a STS strength rotation with alternating days of cardio. Now I've been leaning towards more of a circut or "calorie burning" rotation doing more Jari, Jillian Michaels, Squeeze workouts with one heavier strength training day a week just to make sure my muscle doesnt turn too soft. However, after my knee aching with my last Jari workout I still haven't quite decided what to do. In the end, it really boils down much more to what I put in my mouth than what specific exercise plan I'm doing!

If I dont get back here, hope you and Linda have a great weekend!

Hey Donna & "supermodel Stacy":p

Stacy, did you have knee issues in the past? I gained a steady 3 pounds yearly, over the last 5 years, until last year, when I started exercising regularly. It's making a huge difference, losing & maintaining. I like the way people describe STS, I'd be interested in your results when you decide to do that. I think I have another 8 to 10 pounds to go, I've leveled off this month, we'll see.

Donna, Happy B-day again, hope you have good fun this weekend, also, since you did both Body Fusion & Low Impact Circuit the whole way thru, how would you compare the two? I have LIC in rotation, a week from monday I think, that's my sub for BF. I'll be using both the cardio premix & total body premix separately as well.

Still didn't get the refrigerator fixed yet, hope we don't have to get a new one, uggghhhh.:(

Well yesterday was a horrible eating day! Three words....Girl Scout Cookies. I didnt workout either. I dont know I play these stupid head games to myself. I allowed myself freedom to pig out b/c Monday afterall is March 1st, I can start over again etc etc. Feel free to smack me!!

Linda....I started with knee issues in college when I took up jogging, and they've plagued me ever since. It's beyond achy, sometimes it's a sharp pain, sometimes a burning pain, and the pain moves around, not always in the same place or even the same knee. I've seen 3 orthopedic docs over the years and have had 2 MRI's which have been normal. So it's all a mystery. I've learned over the years what moves really bother me, but sometimes random thing aggravate it. With Jari's workout the other day, she did some higher impact "football running drills" on the step and some jumping jacks. Jumping jacks almost always bother my knee, but the football drills were possibly the culprit too, hard to say. But, I can usually do jogging on my treadmill and my knees are usually fine if I take it slow. If I had bionic knees all of my problems would be solved! ;)

Oh...I've never done Body Fusion so I cant say how it compares to LIC, but LIC is one of my most-used Cathe workouts!

I'm shooting for a cookie-free day!

yea, March 1st, a new month

new rotation for me tomorrow, looking forward to a series of rotations over the next few months; Jump, Pump, & Jab today...finally sunny & bright, a walk with the dog, mud & all.

Ugh...this weekend was a TOTAL flop! No workout, pigged out the whole weekend. Sigh. Tomorrow is a new day and a new month and I WILL have a good day! Be on the lookout for a new March "NON-CHECK-IN"!!
