++ No Sweets Weekend Edition++

Good Morning Gals!

I was up @ 5 to get my workout in before heading to work. I like getting up early and having it done b/c there is no way I would do it after work!
I did GS&PUB tris and a 5 mile run. My bics are also pretty sore from yesterdays workout. PUB bics are tough enough, never mind adding on GS bics as well.

Missy** I was bored at home b/c Im stuck in one room with DS! I can't get anything done anymore b/c he won't let us out of his site. If we go...he goes! LOL Good job on the workout yesterday! I can't wait to start running outside again!

Mag** Ah...a couple peices of chocolate won't kill ya!

Linda** I think you have created a monster, colorful post from now on!

Alica** It wasn't easy throwing those brownies out but I threw something right in on top of them...that way I didn't touch them! hehe

Catherine** Glad to hear you had a good night out with the gals. Nothing worse then a cheat you didn't really enjoy!!!

Rose**:9 :9 Im all about the cake...not so much for the ice cream though. I was going to run out yesterday evening to pick up a cake for my inlaws for their anniversary but they said they didn't want one...probably a good thing!!

Do you prefer w/o in the am over pm?? I find I just don't have the energy in the am. Do you have a little bite of something before your morning w/o?

Feeling a little run down, I think I maybe fighting a cold!
Just got home from work. Gonna rest a little bit, and hopefully get some kindof workout in. Really want to run & Legs & Glutes. Have to see how I feel first.

DH is out---aw, peace and quiet! At least for a few hours.

Alicia** I like to workout in the morning to have it over and done with and then I can move on with my day. When DS was smaller I would workout during his morning nap and then we would head out in the afternoon. Now he only takes one nap a day, which is in the afternoon, so thats when I workout. Ive adjusted to it...I really don't have a choice. But when I have to work in the morning, I get up and do it early b/c I wouldn't have the energy for it in the evening. I don't have anything to eat before my workout, just a coffee of java:)
I think your gonna need some energy for that workout you have planned:eek: Rest up...and I hope you don't get this nasty bug!

Sounds like you got it down - to what works in your schedule. That's great. No kids yet, so the only scheduling I have is DH and work (of course, family...we live 4 houses from my parents...that's a challenge! No, it really isn't that bad :)
I tend to w/o in the late afternoons or evenings. Can't seem to get myself up any earlier in the am. But, if it is the only time I have, I will force myself.

Howdy ladies! :) Well I went shopping today (I've been walking all afternoon) and I'm sleep deprived so I'm skipping my workout today and I'll do it tomorrow. It'll be some weight lifting for my chest, shoulders and triceps (a combination of PS:CST and some exercises from the CTX series) and I'll do an ab session as well. I've done amazingly well today on my diet. You guys!!! I went to Borders today. I picked up a book on the bargains section and I'm so in love with it! It's the Reader's Digest Low-Calorie Cookbook. All the recipes in there are 400 cals or less. It's divided in categories for Breakfast, Snacks, Soups and Appetizers, Main Meals, Side Dishes and Breads, and Desserts. Most of the recipes are easy and most of the ingredients are easy to find. For every single recipe there's complete nutrition information, variations, substitutions, serving suggestions, nutritional information about specific ingredients and a full color picture! I can make low calorie cakes and ice creams woo hoo! I know, I know they're still sweets, but I'd eat them on my cheat day only. I just had to share because I'm in love with this book and it was a bargain so of course that makes it even better.

Lori - I prefer the ice cream ha ha, but I don't mind the cake. It's definitely a good thing for your diet that your inlaws didn't want a cake. :)

Alicia - I hope you feel better. It's not a good time to fight a cold. Take care of yourself and listen to your body. If it's telling you to rest do so.

Well ladies can I just write off yesterday? Pretty please with sugar, uh I mean splenda on top ;) It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. My excuse is that I am trying to build muscle so I need the calories :+ I did LM yesterday. Not a big fan of this one for some reason no fun factor for me.

Today was heavy legs and I ROCKED it!!!!! Sorry for the brag, but I hit PRs on everything:

Squats:
warmup 50#-6, 75-5, 95-5
working set 107.5# 5 sets of 5

RDLs:
warmup 70#-8
working set 127.5#- 6 sets of 4

Plie Squats (with a DB) 55#-12 57.5#- 2 sets of 12
(could go a fair bit heavier, but alas I don't have a DB that heavy)

Good Mornings:
warmup 40# 6
working set 60# 4 sets of 6 (these are new to me and I am still trying to make sure my form is right)

Calf Raises:
145# 4 sets of 15

Rose, yes I am still using my squat rack and it's awesome!! Are you still thinking of getting one?

Lori, I so wished I could get up and workout in the morning. I used to and I just can not make myself do it anymore. I also feel like I am stronger later in the day. I am sure that's a mental thing, but whatever works eh?

Feeling a little better today. Didn't workout yesterday. I think I really needed to rest. I usually feel guilty if I don't w/o, so thanks for reminding me its ok. THanks :0
