Cathlete
Good morning ladies!! Starting up a brand new week :D

I had a cheat meal yesterday. McDonalds cheeseburger, sm fries and a coke. That's the first coke I've had in a month or so. Otherwise eating has been on track. Had a nice salad for dinner last night.
Did Kenpo X yesterday with BM2 abs and stretch. Added some upper body stretching from my yoga dvd to that. Today I will do Legs and spin. Will do pullups later.

Hope you all have had a good weekend. Rose, I've been thinking about you girl and I hope you are doing ok!!

It's just me reporting back. Legs are done. I am expecting to have a sore bootay tomorrow }(

Squats: 80# 4x6 (same wt, last time was 2x6 & 2x5) this means I get to up my wt to 85# next week
RDLs: 90# 4x6 was shaking with these, form was good though (up 5#)
**also note switched placement of Bulgarian Squats and RDLs around, was doing BS first **
Bulgarian Squats: (2) 25#DBs 4x5 (was 1x5 & 3x4, same wt) **these are hard when you are tired because you have to balance **
Plie Squats: 60# (bar in front) 3x8 (up 5#)
Calf Raises: 75# 1x20 and 85# 1x20

I wonder how long it'll take for DH to decide a squat rack is a must. He doesn't seem to mind spotting me, but I think he will eventually get tired of it :7

Hello ladies. Phew! I've been doing so much better today. I'm lucky I have my mom and my friends (and my dogs; can't forget about the doggies) to help me when I'm down. Also, thanks to you two that are out there in cyberspace and you don't know all the times you've helped me get back on track when I mess up. Friday night and Saturday were awful for me. I woke up with a neck spasm on Saturday(that always happens when I'm under stress) and since I couldn't drive I didn't go to yoga. I was in bed all day long and I only got up to eat and do the basics. Oh I also forgot, I cheated pretty bad on Friday, but I ate better yesterday and today. Things definitely happen for a reason. Last night I went to bed early and I woke up early today and my mind is a lot clearer. I also did Baron Baptiste's yoga for beginners. Tomorrow I'll get back to my low impact GS rotation since it's working great on my back and my body. I'm also going to the doctor on Tuesday. My back pain is pretty much gone, but I'd like to know what is going on and what can I do to keep my back pain free.

Affirm - I hope you found some time to workout after TTOM.

Catherine - Mickey D's? lol! Bad! Bad! Your workouts look awesome though. I was serious when I mentioned that you're going to need a squat rack soon. Your legs are getting super strong and you don't want to hurt your DH's back when he spots you. I mean a Smith machine is another good one to get (lol! Yeah your DH is going to gasp at that one!)

Well, bye now ladies. I hope you have a good week.

Rose, it's good to hear things are getting better. I am glad you've got good support to get you through the tough times!! Something will come your way, I just know it!! As for the Friday cheat forget about it!! Isn't it funny when you feel like crap you eat crap?? I guess I could've worded that better :+

Affirm, have you survived TTOM?? Hope you are ok!

I am having some lower body DOMS   Imagine that. I could feel it a little while I was in bed this morning and it has crept up on me. This evening I did a moderate wt upper body followed by 20 mins of spinning. Now I am pooped and ready for bed.

Have a good evening!!

Today I did a low impact cardio followed by GS:BSB, a short ab session, and a great stretch routine. I did great with my diet.

Affirm - I also hope you are ok.

Catherine - Really? Lower body DOMS? I wonder how that happened hmmm!:p :7

Hello Ladies. I am doing well. Rose, I am glad you have a support system during a difficult time. It is always nice to have someone who understands and will listen.

I am over TTOM. However, I was busy, but also too lazy to workout over the weekend. I decided to sleep late this morning since I had to work this evening (Open House at my school). I just got home about 8:45 and now I am helping my son get ready for a test tomorrow, so I know we'll be up late and I probably won' t get up early in the morning either. Am I making excuses already? I guess I am, but I am being honest. I also just had a bowl of ice cream because I felt that I deserved it after working late. Cheat day and no exercise.

Good morning ladies!! I think the thing we need to remember is that we are consistent. Sure we take a day or two or even three  off every now and then. Does it make our results crumble-NO! I think days like that are good to take. We need breaks and our bodies have a way of telling us that. I also think it's not good to push yourself too hard. When you are tired or have had a long day- don't worry about it if you don't feel like working out. Just do what you always do and get back on the wagon when the energy is there. Your body will thank you and so will your mind. I so believe in the mind, body, spirit connection and if one is out of balance the others will be. We work out and do other healthy things to keep that balance. But we also have to remember there is such a thing as "too much of a good thing" OK I do not know why I went down this path this morning LOL. I guess I am feeling philosophical :D Bottom line is Ladies WE ARE DOING GREAT!! Keep up the good work!!

Affirm, I really do think we are all doing GREAT!! We spend so much time mentally beating ourselves up for things that don't make a differnce in the long run- ya know what I mean. Things like a piece of cake here or there. A missed w/o or two. When what really matters is what we do most of the time- which is w/o and eat right.
I have to remind myself this all of the time. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies and what we create in our mind is far worse than reality. There I go again uhhhh humm,... Sorry ;)

Anywho,.. I did stepblast today with SP&J abs. I have been terribly bloated and hate to say it gassy today LOL!! Not good. Now I am eating a salad that has waaaay to many onions on it- what the heck

Oh I will be indulging a little later in a glass of wine. Reisling that is. Haven't had any alcohol since the RT. Not like I drink alot or anything. Actually 1 glass may just do me in LOL!!

Rose, girl I hope you're still hanging in there!!

Hey ladies. I did GS Legs today. Increased the weights on most exercises (except the deadlifts). Last night I woke up to eat (bad bad!) My TOM is approaching and I get these crazy cravings in the middle of the night (ugh!). Oh and of course I couldn't fit in my pants this morning. The combination of bloating and all the crap I ate last night did it, but I didn't think too much about that, I just wore another pair of pants that is one size larger. :p

Affirm - Nice to hear from you. I have to agree with Catherine, we are being successful at this because we are consistent. If we miss a couple of workouts and/or cheat on our diets, we know that we'll get back on track as soon as possible and not give it up all together like most people do.

Catherine - Wine in moderation can be good for you. You're like me. I only drink once in awhile in social ocassions, usually with dinner, but I always think those are empty calories and I usually don't have more than two glasses. I never got used to the taste of alcohol anyway, but I think that's good.

Well, it's hump day!!! I am so glad. It was slow at work today. One of those never ending days.

I did PS legs this evening minus the floor work. I also did chinups in betweeen leg exercises. I did 1 set of 8 chins in a row-Wooo Hoooo!! That's the most I've done in 1 set!! So my sets were: 8,6,6,5,5,5 &4. I know you all get tired of hearing about chinups, but I get so psyched!!!
Eating is still good to BTW.

OK, how are you ladies doing today?

The temperature has been around 100 degrees all day with 100% humidity so I definitely did not exercise today. I've been staying indoors with A/C and drinking tons of fluid to stay hydrated. I plan to exercise tomorrow though. We'll see.

Catherine, I never get tired of hearing about you doing chin ups. It is truly inspiring. I think I need to reach my goal weight first and then attempt them again because I can't even do one without assistance. :p

Affirm, I hope things went well today.

Hey ladies!! Today is a rest day for me. And it's a good thing. I was really busy today. I was kind of glad though. It has been sort of slow for about a month. I can not stand being slow!!

Rose, don't blame ya for not working out in that heat and humidity!!

Affirm, how is your week going?

Hey ladies. Today I did KPC: Intermediate drills + combos 1, 2 premix (with no modifications woo hoo!) + GS: C&T + Ab Hits: CTX Kickbox abs (no modifications here either). The doctor said I can slowly add some impact to my routines, but to make them mostly low impact for awhile and P.S. back pain is gone. I guess the low impact and additional hip flexors, hamstrings, and low back stretches are working. Diet has been okay, but TTOM is approaching so I've had a couple of pieces of chocolate and some ice cream, but within my allowed amount of calories. So that's it for today. I hope you ladies are doing well.

Catherine - Being busy is okay sometimes because it doesn't get boring. Enjoy your rest day. I sure enjoyed mine yesterday and today I was ready to take on any challenges with Cathe.

Affirm - One more day and the week is over. I hope you find time for yourself during the weekend.

Today was heavy upper body followed by 25 mins of spinning. I am wiped out this evening for some reason. BTW don't remember if I mentioned DH and I are heading for New Orleans later next week for a long weekend. It's been 6 years since DH and I have gone on vacation. So I think it's overdue

Rose WTG on your w/o!! I've been trying to do some extra stretching too and it makes a big difference doesn't it?

Affirm, are ya hanging in there?

Today I did Low Max on my usual step height (8"). It felt great!

Catherine - No you didn't mention you were going to New Orleans. I hope you have a great time. They sure can use the visitors down there. :)

Affirm - I hope you're doing well.

Have a nice weekend ladies.

Hello Ladies. Sorry I haven't checked in the last few days. No exercise for me. Eating was good most of the time, but yesterday I had a Five Guys burger and fries. It was sooooo good. It may have been a year since I have had one of those and I enjoyed every bite of it.

I got up early to catch up on a little cleaning. My son's soccer team has a carwash in a little bit and I am going to help with that. Does that count as exercise? HAHA Gotta get a good laugh in this morning.

Next week will be better.....or I will have to do Chest and Triceps all the way through. I guess I have a lot of jokes this morning huh.
You are the best. I will check in later.

Hey Affirm!! That burger sounds YUMMY!! I think a car wash counts as exercise so I'll say you only have to do the drop set of pushups form GS C&T  :+

I was gonna do DM today, but I am thinking I might do KM instead. I am sure it doesn't have anything to do with the dreadmax I get for DM }(

Well, my w/o plans for today changed a bit. I did KM blasts x2 (well, almost- pooped out at the end)this morning. About an hour after I did that DH tells me we are spending the day with his family tomorrow. Which totally wrecks my w/o schedule x( Sunday is heavy legs and pullups. And I know I won't get around to doing it late in the day when we get back. So I went ahead and did the legs portion this evening.

Squats 85#: 2x5 & 3x4 (up 5#)
RDLs 95#: 1x7 & 3x6 (up 5#) (These were tough BTW }( )
Bulgarian Squats (2)25#DBs: 3 or 4 sets of 5 (I know it's bad, but I was so tired I lost count LOL!!)
Plie Squats 60#: 3x8 (same)
Calf Raises 95#: 2x20 (that was a heavy load on my back )

Still making steady progress and I am happy with that.
Nice long stretch afterwards-ahhhhhhhhhh!!!

Perhaps I'll have too much DOMS to go anywhere tomorrow LOL!! I love my DH and his family, but can only take so much of them ;) I sure hope he never reads this. Well, he probably thinks the same thing about my family. Come to think of it I think that way about my family :+
