Hello there ladies. What are you up to? It's TTOM for me today so I didn't exercise. I will do Muscle Max tomorrow. Ugh, my diet has been awful these past few days. I need to get back on track starting tomorrow. I hope you both have a nice week!

Edited to add: Catherine, did you preview all the DVDs already? I'm so curious!
 
Rose, my eating was way off this weekend too. I need to get back on track!!

I had a busy weekend. Window washing, shopping for blinds and curtains and then hanging them.

The new workouts look awesome. I have done LIS cardio only twic and love it. I also did the Back and Biceps premix followed by the Chest Shoulders & Triceps premix on Friday and had some pretty good DOMS yesterday. I love the music and the premixes seem endless. The production quality is fantastic!! BC cardio scares me :eek:

Today I did heavy legs:
Squats: Warm up 40# 10 reps 60# 8 reps
87.5# 4 sets of 6 (up 2.5# from last week)
<--RDLs: Warmup 60# 10 reps, 87.5# 8 reps
102.5# 4 sets of 6 (up 2.5# from last week
Bulgarian Squats: (2) 20# DBs 4 sets of 6 (same as last)
Calf Raises: 60# BB 30,30 & 20 (last week did 35 x2)

I followed that up with LIS and was suprised my legs would move LOL!!

Ladies, I had chocolate ice cream Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The weather has been wacky here with 80 degrees the last few days. We always eat well during the week though.

Fitfairy, I am glad you are enjoying the new workouts. What workouts would you compare them too? Just curious.

I just finished Rhythmic Step. That workout is so much fun. I rarely get in the combo at the end when they do all the finished steps of the 3 combos. I am usually hanging on to my last few breaths by then and just skip that part. I felt good to just do all 3 combos, especially since I haven't been working out that much lately.
 
Affirm, you are right. We do well with eating during the week- that's what really counts- what we do most of the time!!

I don't know what workouts to compare the new ones to. The set up is like CTX with ~30 mins of cardio before a wt segment. But the wts are varied. She does lots of pushup variations. There are super sets, pyramid sets and heavy sets. I haven't done the leg workout yet, so I can not comment on it much.


Today I did heavy upper body followed by HIS cardio.

Bench: warmup (2) 20# DBs 10reps, 30s 8 reps
75#: 6,5,5,4, & 4 (last week did 5,4,3,4,4,2- so some improvement)
BB Row: 75# 4 sets of 7 (last week same wt 4 sets of 6)
Lat Pulldown: 110# 8,8,6,&6 (last week 3 sets of 6 at same wt)
OHP: warmup (2) 15# DBs 10reps 20# 6reps; did 1 set of 4 with 25# and dropped back to 20s and did 4 sets of 6 (don't remember last weeks)
Triceps: 20# 1 rep, 18,75 3 reps then dropped to 17.5 for 6,6,5, &4 (triceps were fried after benching I think)
Biceps: 22.5 6,5,5, &5 (last week was 5,5,4 &4)

I am pretty happy with that. I am gradually increasing my reps on my bench. I notice when I get more reps on bench that my tricep reps go down. I know you work triceps with bench, so I assume that's why.

You are so right fitfairy about working the triceps muscles when working other muscles on the bench. I don't lift nearly as heavy as you, but I know when I do chest and triceps...I can barely do the triceps after working the chest muscles on the bench.

I just finished Intervals 1 -5 from IMAX2. Eating was really good yesterday. I am all packed for healthy eating today too.

Rose, I know it is that time of the month. I hope you are taking it easy. Your energy will come back. I hate those few days of the month.
 
Hey ladies. Yes ttom has been very tough this time around. It seems that my pmdd symptoms get worse as I'm getting older. Yesterday I had a migraine and I haven't been able to sleep as I usually do. I need at least 8 hours, ideally 9 hours, but I'm getting 5-6 these past few days so I have no energy to wake up earlier to exercise and when I'm back from work is even worse. I didn't exercise yesterday and I couldn't exercise today either. It's very frustrating. Tomorrow I better do something! I plan to go to bed early today and hopefully I get my energy back.

Affirm - I'm glad to see you're exercising this week! I'm happy for you. Now it's my turn to rest I guess.

Catherine - Your workouts always look good. I'm glad you're enjoying the new DVDs. Like I said, I can't wait for the next weight training series.

Affirm, you are so smart to pack a healthy lunch. It makes temptations easier to pass on.

There is constantly stuff at work to snack on and it's not healthy. Even though I cheat on the weekend, I can proudly say I stay away from the junk at work!!

Today I did HIS with LIS abs. I am still rewinding a bit to get the moves down. But I absolutely love the new moves in these step routines. Tomorrow is P90X Legs and Back :eek: Can't wait :D

Hey ladies!! Eating is still good. Had a big salad for dinner last night and a big one for lunch today. Yippee veggies!!! Did P90X L&B. Wasn't feeling very motivated. But still did well with my chinups-7,7,6,5,5,5,4,&4 better than last week Woo Hoo!!

My puppy is now 6 months old and is very big. He has his last vet check over a month ago and was almost 40 pounds then. So, he is going to be a big dog. He is doing well. Enjoys playing outside in the evenings with the kids and just a joy to our family. We have forgotten what it was like before getting him.

I didn't sleep well last night, so ending up finally resting well around 3 AM and slept through my exercise time. I hope to be up in the morning and hitting the step.
 
Hello there. Today I did KM's kick/punch combos only. I really wanted to do more, but I'm still very tired. I tried my best with KM, but I ended up doing it at a medium to high intensity (mostly medium). It'll be better tomorrow. I just didn't want to push it too hard because I haven't exercised in a couple of days. My diet was great yesterday and today I did a good job too. I normally don't talk about what I eat, but my dinner was so delicious that I have to share. I had shrimp rotini primavera (with whole grain/whole wheat pasta and tons of veggies) and a medium salad. I also had a small serving of chocolate chip ice cream with a little bit of organic strawberry marmalade and I stayed within my allowed amount of calories (it's all about using whole foods and portion control).

Affirm - I'm so glad to know that you're puppy is getting big! Don't worry about sleeping through your exercise time. It's better to exercise when you're well rested.

Catherine - P90X!! Good job! I definitely know what you're talking about when you say you need more motivation. I've been feeling the same way lately. Today I got the pants I bought online and I love them. They're a little tight on my upper hip area, but that's cause I ordered them a size smaller on purpose (size 4 I'm insane!). They still look great because they're wide leg pants and those are flattering on pretty much everybody. I'm so happy I got them! My pants are going to be my motivation so I can lose the last few pounds I got left. My plan is to wear them for a Christmas party since they're off-white and kind of dressy. lol!
 
Fitfairy, you have been doing great. There is no doubt in my mind those size 4 pants are going to be the perfect fit for Christmas.

Rose, I am glad you enjoyed KM yesterday. It is truly not one of my favorites, but I did dust it off just last week.

I just finished part of Cardio Fusion for a short workout this morning. I am still a comfortable size 6 and need to spend more time focusing on getting the veggies and fruits in like I have been doing lately. It definitely makes a difference in the stomach.
 
Hello ladies!! All was going well with eating till last night at dinner. Had me some dessert :9 and a glass of wine :eek: Never fear, so far today has been good :D

I did 4DS upper body premix this morning :eek: My chest is still burning and arms are "heavy" I planned to try and squeeze in HIS cardio, but haven't done it yet. That wt workout clocks at 67 min and it took me a bit longer. I need more recovery time than Cathe and crew ;) Still don't have the pushups around the clock down. My feet don't pivot like that.

Hey ladies. Yesterday I had a migraine and ended up doing just a short cardio. I tried to do more, but I felt awful so I stopped and decided to call it a day after the cardio. Today I felt better and did some kickboxing + GS: BSB + abs. So I'm finally back to GS. Thank goodness.
