Hello Ladies. I haven't checked in for a few days. I did work out 4 days last week which is better than what I have been doing lately. I am enjoying my holiday weekend. Using it to catch up on some much needed cleaning, laundry, etc. around the house. So my workout for the past few days has been household cleaning.

I have stocked up on veggies and fruit to lasat the week, so hopefully eating will go well also.
 
Forgot it was a holiday for some. Wonders if that's why it's a bit slow today. Should bite my tongue because the afternoon will probably be he!! now LOL!!

Yesterday I did BC cardio from the 4ds and LIS abs. Today will be heavy upper body. Oh, and eating stunk this weekend x(

Hello ladies! It's a holiday in here. I got to sleep until 10 am woooo! Wow I forgot how that was. I slept like a baby and I feel so energized today. Sleep is definitely underrated. Anyway, last week I didn't exercise with weights at all (even though I wanted to do GS) and I tried a couple of times including yesterday and on Saturday, but my back is not ready. I've been doing short low impact cardios and yoga. Today I'm doing yoga and I plan to take it easy for a couple of days. Not that the yoga I do is easy, because it's not, but I mean easy with the cardio and weight lifting. I will attempt to do some weights maybe on Thursday, but I'm being *very* careful this time around. I know I have DDD and that the only way to fix it is with surgery so when I feel pain I slow down until I feel that I can lift again. If you're curious I haven't gained an ounce. My food journal helps me to keep my diet on track. Yes I cheat once in awhile, but I don't go overboard with the calories. And I haven't lost any muscle tone whatsoever. In fact with all the power yoga I've been doing my arms, abs, and legs look very good for not lifting weights for a week.

Affirm - I'm glad you found time to workout. I know that it's impossible to check-in as we'd like when we're busy. Even though I can't check-in every single day when it's a busy week this check-in is always in my mind. Especially when I cheat or when I don't want to exercise. :)

Catherine - omg! 90lbs! It hurts my back just thinking about it.:p You are very strong. DH better be good ha ha!!!:7
 
Hey girls!! I can not believe Thanksgiving is just next week :eek: Then Christmas is just around the corner. Time is just flying by!!

I took a rest day yesterday. My sister who I had been having difficulties with called and wanted to meet for dinner. So we did and had a good time. She is going through such a tough time right now and I hate it for her :(

Eating has been good except the 2 glasses of wine with dinner last night!!

Tonight I did heavy upper body and HIS cardio. I can not seem to get past 75# on my bench x( But I did do skull crushers with 2- 20# DBs- I felt really strong!!!

I didn't sleep well last night and hope to sleep better tonight.

I hope you all are doing ok!!

Hi ladies. Today I did LIC cardio only premix. I will try to do a total body weight workout tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Yesterday I was crossing the street and a car was driving the wrong way and I almost got run over. The person hit me with the mirror of the car and kept going! Whoever was driving that car was going REALLY fast and there are about 3-4 schools in that area where kids and teenagers are crossing the street all the time. I'm glad I was wearing walking shoes and I could move with ease otherwise I would've been hit pretty badly. Ugh I was so mad and frustrated. I had such a hard time falling asleep last night thinking about that. I was so shocked that I didn't know what to do. And I couldn't do anything because the car kept going. Ugh, I had a horrible day yesterday, but I'm glad that's over.

Catherine - I hope things get better for your sister.

Affirm - How are you doing? Hopefully you've had some time for yourself.
 
Rose, that must have been pretty scary. I am so glad you are okay. That is so unfortunate to see people driving so fast in school zones. Some maniacs are just focused on getting to work and will nearly run past a bus stop. I see crazy things like that and it drives me crazy.

Fitfairy, I am glad you have been there for your sister during her difficult time. It is always great having someone to talk too. Even when there is not anything you can do to help them, a listening ear is always great.

I have worked out 2 days this week (Body Max 2 step combos and Cardio and Weights step combos). I too cannot believe that Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is around the corner. Eating has been totally awesome this week. I have limited bread, NO SWEETS, and eaten more veggies than I have in a while. I usually eat plenty of fruit anyway. Wow---the oranges are really good this season.

Rose, I hope your back calms down soon for you. I know how frustrating that can be :(

I had dessert today x( Then I didn't want to workout when I came home. Was supposed to do PS legs and add chinups. Just mentally and physically felt like I couldn't. So I did 4DS double cario. I enjoyed it and now I don't feel as guilty about eating dessert. Must get back on track tomorrow with the weights though!!

I didn't exercise today because I had a migraine this afternoon. I need to exercise with weights tomorrow or asap because my body needs it. I'm thinking I'll try Muscle Max tomorrow and I will lower the weights if I need to. Yes, the back issue is very frustrating, but I try to make up for my lack of exercise with my diet. This weekend I'm determined to finish my Christmas shopping. There are great sales out there and I'm on a budget. I'm pretty much done with the gifts, but I need to buy a pair of shoes, underwear (lol! I'm taking my mom to Macy's, buy 2 bras get 2 free, and all the good brands like Warner's are included :7), and a couple of things for myself and the rest of the people in my list. I also have to buy birthday gifts for my niece (she's going to be 2) and the daughter of one of my friends (she's going to be 5 and has everything so I have no idea what to get her...) I definitely don't want to go to the malls after Thanksgiving that's for sure.

Affirm - Wow! I'm so proud of you for eating so well! I need to add more veggies to my diet.

Catherine - I miss PS. I should do a rotation soon and put GS to rest for awhile. 4ds is #2 in sales (read the NYT article that Beloved Heather posted on the Ask Cathe forum), maybe I will get it in the future. Don't worry about eating dessert. It's not a big deal.

I hope I can do Muscle Max tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers!
 
Rose, I hope you are feeling better today!! Christmas shopping-YUK!! I am almost done myself. I don't buy alot anyway. DH and I ask each other what we want and that's what we do. If it's nothing we'll go out to eat or something. I told him that he could pre-order the next Cathe series }( for me!! Although there is a new digital camera I've been wanting LOL!

DH is taking me to breakfast at Cracker Barrel this morning. So I know this will be not good already. But it'll be oh sooooooooooooo good!!

TGIF!!! Today I *finally* did a total body weight workout: Muscle Max. I was so happy when I finished. Tomorrow I'm going to "rest", like I said I'm going to the mall and I know I will walk for hours in there. I'll be doing PS for two weeks starting on Sunday and then I'll get back to GS again. I need to change things a little.

Oh boy! Catherine, I hope you enjoyed your breakfast. }( That pre-order is definitely on my Christmas wishlist. I've been checking out Jari Love and Amy Bento on Collage Video, but I need to wait for STS first. I don't know about you, but the only instructor other than Cathe that I like and workout to on a regular basis is Baron Baptiste. I have workouts from other instructors and I use them once or twice because I always go back to Cathe.

Affirm you definitely inspired me today with my diet. Yesterday I ate way too much crap, including chocolate, but I did great today.

We have a holiday on Monday and Thursday and my boss gave us Friday too so I officially have two days of work next week! I'm happy about that, but I have tons of things to do at home so I can't call it a vacation although I'm glad I'm not going to wake up at 6am. :)

Cracker Barrel.....don't make me start drooling....oh how I love that place. There is not one in my area. However, when we travel......I usually convince my husband to make a stop there. I believe that if you are going to cheat on the diet....cheat with something good and Cracker Barrel definitely meets those standards YUM YUM!


Rose, congrats on the total weight workout. Enjoy those days off. I understand what you mean when you say it is not a vacation because it is just too much stuff to do around the house. Enjoy every minute of the "extras" that you can do on those days.

I am off on my schedule. I did legs and chins yesterday (that's usually Wed) I did only about 1/2 the w/o because I got really nauseated and dizzy. Today I will try 4ds upper body and see how it goes.
