Hey ladies. You both did great workouts. Today I did Drill Max (cardio only) and my diet is getting better every day. I did some research online about low glycemic foods. I found very interesting information and I've been doing some changes in my food choices. So far that feeling of hunger one hour after I've eaten is almost completely gone. I know it's taking my body a couple of days to adjust, but the changes were so simple. Like for example I would normally eat 4 onz yogurt with a cookie as a snack for a total of around 100-125 cals, but the cookie is high glycemic so that means that 60-90mins later I was starving and I would eat everything in sight good or bad. Now I substitute the cookie for half an apple (40 cals) and I cut it into tiny pieces and I add it to the yogurt (60 cals) and I have a snack that's 100 cals and low glycemic. When it comes time to eat my next meal I'm not starving to death, I'm just normally hungry and I can wait to prepare my next healthy meal. I don't know if I'm losing weight or not, but I know that I feel less tired.
Thanks for asking about my niece. She feels better, but she needs surgery. We don't know the date yet, but it's going to be soon. Her mood is great. She's not sad or anything like that. I'm hoping for the best of course.
You know ladies I forgot to tell you. On July 10th, just a couple of days ago, it was my 18th month of working out and eating well. It was on Jan 10, 2006 when I had a really bad reality check at the doctor's office. My weight was really over the top (I still keep the number to myself), but I vowed not to go on a crash diet, pills, or workout obsessively to reach my ideal weight. I've been doing it slowly, but surely. Since I lift weights I don't have tons of loose skin or sagging (just a bit on my inner thighs, but not too much). I also have 10 more pounds to go, but I'm happy for my accomplishments. Like I've said probably ten thousand times, this check-in has helped me tremendously and I hope it continues to help me in the future.
Have a nice weekend!
