Afternoon Ladies,

What no one has been here yet? What is up with that? Well anyway, the scale is all over the place right now so I am mad about that, but I have yet to admit defeat. I am going switch up my diet some more and with the month of no sweets maybe that will get things moving. Oh, and I have lost my mind and decided to to up the stakes on this little challenge.
....I scheduled a photo shoot with a professional photographer for May 7 which is 5 days after my birthday! Yikes!......

This morning was cardio and I did CC #4, workout was 47 min, traveled 4 miles, average HR 160, and 675 calories burned.

Catherine - nope don't have allergies, but doing better today.

Now I just need someone to come talk to me.....

Linda

T-minus 29 days and counting.....

[font color=blueviolet]WOAH! Where is everyone? I hope that everyone is doing great! :)

Linda, You are brave! I hate pictures of all kinds, no matter who is behind the camera or what it is for.

Catherine, what are "Good Mornings"? Is that an exercise from BBC? I want to say I have done them before, but it has been a while so remind me :)

Mag, "YOU are unlimited in your potential." :p I actually have thought about it, and dark chocolate (let's just call it "antioxidants" from now on) really is good for you - it is just all the cream and sugar that is added that makes it bad. Shall we say... no more than two servings a week? Is that too little, too much, what do you think? It is a nice way to treat yourself and still not blow it, I think.

Lori, what Wonder Woman routine did you do today? You know, I was just thinking about something yesterday: you have amazing strength and endurance... have you ever considered trying out for American Gladiators? :7 It could be fun!

Alicia and Rose, ALOHA my friends!

I just got done doing S&L upper body portion and abs x2. No cardio today for me. I have just been sort of vegging out reading because Spring Break around here has been pretty busy with all the kids running in and out and there was a lull today, so I am taking advantage of it!
Has anyone ever read any Patricia Briggs? DH and DD got me some of her books for Christmas and I just finished Iron Kissed. The two before that were Moon Called and Blood Bound. Interesting series. I just got into Laurel K. Hamilton last year (had never read preternatural before that) but I don't really like the direction she was going so I asked for PB's books. Does anyone have any recommendations? What kinds of books do you enjoy?

Talk to you guys later!

Missy

Wow I thought I'd be way behind with lots to read, everyone is in hiding today?

Linda - talk about a huge motivator! You are brave girl! You know now that you mentioned it, we will be wanting to see those pictures:D

Missy - I thinks it's best to define a "portion" to keep ourselves honest. Are we talkig roughly two squares of antioxidants is a portion? If so, I think two portions a week is doable and not too much and should take care of the antioxidants in my kashi bars }( As for books I like mystery/thrillers like Dan Brown, James Patterson and Sidney Sheldon (done reading all of his stuff)

I am proud to say I resisted a cookie that was offered to me by a co-worker today. She kept pushing and I kept resisting. YEAH! :7
Workout today will most likely be 4DS upper body premix, although I should really do lower body, just don't wanna :p

Have a great evening everyone!

Hey Girls!!

Sorry I didn't start the thread earlier, I looked for it and didn't see it but my parents were sitting right next to me, and my mother was talking while I was trying to check in with my friends. I finally had to call it quits:-( ;) But here I am!

Surprisly my shoulders aren't sore today. But I think my bics will be tomorrow. Todays workout was GS & PUB Bics ( I used 12,15& 20 lbs for PUB) and 12 db's and up for GS(mainly using 15;s). Then I did a 6 mile run,4DSKB and KB abs.

Yesterdays meals looked like this:
M#1-All bran bar
M#2-Banana
M#3-cottage cheese and ww waffle 1/2 cookie
M#4-Protien shake with choc pudding and 1 tbsp peanut butter
M#5- Small peice of homemade pizza and a big salad (other half of cookie:+ )

Todays eating as been going very well as well. I haven't even really wanted anything sweet, no cravings!

Linda** A photo shoot? Hmmm...that sounds interesting!!! I have my SIL visiting at the end of the month and they haven't seen me since last summer. When they come, I would like for them to say "man...you are in wicked shape":+ So thats what is going to keep me on the straight and narrow!

Missy** I dunno, can you go on American Gladitors when you are a Canadian? hehe I have never heard of the author you mentioned. I don't read very much...I fall asleep!!

Maggie** I don't understand why people push food. Sure, go ahead and offer it but why nag someone to eat it. Everytime DH has sausages he says "oh man, you have to try these" For 11 yrs now he is just not getting that I hate sausages!! Good job on resisting!

Well, I have two gatherings this weekend but I think I will be fine. I am going to a home and gift party tomorrow night, I probably won't be tempted by anything there. And I was suppose to go to a banquet on Sat night, where I would have had a few drinks but I don't think I am going now. Its not the drinks I was worried about but what happens the day after when your meal plan as strayed and its harder to get back on track. I think thats what happened to me the last time!!
BBL!
Lori:)

Lori, wow how do you muster the energy for such intense workouts every day? That's impressive. I usually save my 2 hour torture sessions for the weekend and I find afterwards I'm wiped out! Canadian? Where from if you don't mind me asking eh?;-)

[font color=darkmagenta]Mag, great job resisting! :7 I have a hard time saying no because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, which is probably why it is such a good thing that I spend most of my time around food AWAY from people! :p I think that for the portion sizes two squares sounds fair! :9 Dan Brown... DaVinci Code, right? I didn't read it, but I really wanted to because of all the controversy it stirred up. ;) I read Cat & Mouse from Patterson, but for some reason I didn't really get into it. I tend to like books from the perspective of a gritty and tough chick who can kick some serious booty. Must be my alter ego! lol

Lori, banquet for whom/what? There is something about that word that really scares me. I just think of lots of over-buttered and salted food, soggy fried chicken, mystery salad bowls, mac n' cheese that is one molecule away from plasic... I just haven't had good experiences w/ 'em. :p And I agree, the first day is always the hardest. All of that scientific research and funding by big companies make sure we still crave the crap that makes us feel like crap. No hint of sarcasm or cynicism there! }(

Well, yesterday I did awesome. Today I have done awesome. It is so wonderful to be so awesome! :+ Actually, I do feel kinda "clean"... love that feeling!

I will see you guys later, if not tomorrow.

Missy
