No Sweets Check-In - June 13, 2005

Weekends are tough for me, too. Sunday night we have a family dinner and Mom usually bakes something for dessert. Yikes! And Friday nights I often go out someplace to eat with a friend- and we share a dessert. I lucked out this weekend- my friend is out of town and my parent's had something else to do on Sunday. Next weekend I'll be on vacation- that will be tough. But I'm going with my sister who is quite supportive of my health goals...so I think I can make it.

Congrats, Angie! You had a successful weekend!! Dreams don't count. ;)

I almost caved at the checkout line in Walmart today!!!!!! i was hungry and i saw a betterfinger and i picked it up!!!! i looked at the caloreis (240) and i looked at the sugar(22g) and i thought to myself, "it's not worth it!!! i will have to go home and admit defeat!" so i put it back:7 I also kept passignthe cookie isle. i justified this by saying that i would get sugar free ones, but i knew better, so i never went down that isle! See how motivating you ladies are!? (it also helps that i am leaving for Mexico next week!!!! i have to wear bikinis!

Emily: way to go on the weight loss! that is fantastic!

Jes - Way to go on resisting the Butterfinger! You can't eat the pie because then it wouldn't mean as much that you resisted the candy bar!

You know, I heard that everytime you resist something sweet, you lose 10 calories......

.....ok maybe that's not true, but we can pretend, can't we?!? ;)

Hang in there! It's not the last pie in the world! THINK MEXICO!!!
