no sex drive?

Does this sound familiar?
I'm still very early in my pregnancy... But I've noticed that I'm really not in the mood for sex very often. Maybe it's because I feel all bloated and moody... I don't know. My DH and I tried to make love a week after I fould out I was pregnant, but I just felt too sensitive. Also, I was spotting for a little while afterward. I read in my preggo book that that's normal... so I'm not worried for my baby... I just don't want to have to go through it.
My DH keeps on trying... He likes my new "pregnant boobs" ;-)
But I keep saying no, not now... I'm tired... (insert excuse here)

I hope I'm not alone here...
(BTW, I hope this post didn't offend anyone :) )

You are not alone!

Hey Charlene! I went through the same thing through my pregnancy and for about 6 months post-partum before my libido GENUINELY (sp?) came back! My dh and I had very sporatic sex during pregnancy until the month 6 and 1/2 - then NOTHING until the 6-8 week check up (first time was unsuccessful). Part of the issue was my libido but other times I was turned on but because I was bigger and the baby had started to move, dh was a little uncomfortable.

There was a point in the first trimester where I told him that I was so tired (it took me four hours to do my hair that day as it required two naps) but if he wanted to do the work and make it all about me - then go on ahead!

Also, I did not the get the 2nd trimester libido boost that some women get - maybe next time...

Just a little note to let you know you're not alone!!

RE: You are not alone!

My husband doesn't like to make love when we're pregnant. I remember this from our last pregnancy, so I kind of planned on not having in sex for a while. I really miss the intimacy & currently am craving... I just don't want to push DH b/c I know he's uncomfortable with it. It's been over a month since we've intimately connected.
