I love my Ballos. Love, love, love 'em. I love them for step, hi/lo and kickbox. And I love how they look for just running around. Did I mention I LOVE them? I think you need to get yourself a pair. :7 :+
 
They are on order Mona! ;-) Evidently the "2008 models" aren't shipping til mid-September, but there's a pair of 7.5s out there with my name on them! :) :) :) :)
 
I just saw the silver ones on LadyFootLocker.com. I have almost that exact color combination in the Nike Shox Gos. The shox and the swoosh are black on mine, and I don't have that cool texture - they're just mesh. Good pick!
 
Hey Laura,

Are these cross trainers or running, sorry not really up to date on my shoe info. I am so with you on the look of these, I love trendy workout shoes, especially with all the people that see me workout at home...;-) I just got the NB zips and they are okay, but I love the look of the shoxs.

These are cross trainers, but there are also Shox running shoes. I have kind of funny feet (wide w/no arch at all). Nike Xtrainers are the only ones that work for me, otherwise I need running shoes, Asics being my brand of choice. :)

Hey LauraMax & all y'all Nike Shox fans ;-),

I tried on a pair of Shox recently (didn't buy them because they didn't have the color I wanted) and I was surprised to feel like my ordinary shoe size fit. I can't remember another "sneaker" of any brand or any kind (running, walking, cross-trainer, aerobic, etc.) that I haven't had to go up a 1/2 size in, and that includes Nike. So I'm curious -- did y'all go up a 1/2 size, or did you buy your Shox in your "street" shoe size??

Hi Kathy,

I find them to be true to size. It's rare that I'm anything other than an 8.5 in any shoe, though, so maybe I have strange feet.
 
Nike Shox Sizing

I do not buy my street shoe size in Nike Shox because I wear Thorlo fitness socks, but I do wear a half size smaller in Nike Shox than Rykas.

Nike Shox Rhythmic studio training shoes are my favorites. :7 They are so cute and cushy. :7 These are dance fitness shoes, and I love them for dancy step workouts Rhythmic Step and dancy hi-lo workouts. Nike Shox are great for pivoting and spinning on carpet and on the step! :7

I like Nike Shox Turn and Go cross training shoes for kickboxing and step choreography that is not as dancy (like Body Max 2). The only problem I have with Nike is that they keep discontinuing my favorite styles (like both of the above)! :-(

I bought my first pair of Ryka Intensity XT cross training shoes last month. They were nice and cushy at first, but they started hurting my feet after one month! :-( I bought a new pair for the Road Trip and hope they last longer. If not, I am returning to Nike for good. ;-)

Laura and Mona, how is the forefoot cushioning in the Nike Shox Ballo cross training shoes? Oh, Laura, I love Asics running shoes too. ;-)

Laura- I have to agree that the Shox Ballo are super cute! I have been eyeing the Shox O-drive ones as well! Talk about CUTE! AND some of them are on sale!

Dang I was just at the Nike employee store not 3 hours ago... I wish I would have read this thread before I left... Cant be the prices at the employee store!!! :)

Will have to hit my friend up for another pass soon to get some of those...

I wear Nike Shox at work and they are comfy but they don't stay tied. Do these stay tied?? Nothing more frustrating than having to tie your shoe during a workout!!

I haven't had any trouble w/the laces, but then whenever I do aerobics I double knot them b/c you're right--nothing more frustrating than having to stop in the middle, not to mention it could be slightly dangerous if you're not aware of it.....;-)

I do go up a half size for any shoe I wear w/socks, including the Shox. It's more of a width thing in the toes (I have pretty wide feet) than the length.

I did not see the Nike Ballo Shox on line.
I would like the kind that tell you how many calories burned. Or Miles? etc.
Does anyone know what those are called?

I happened to notice on LadyFootLocker.com, they had them on sale, so I hit their store today after the gym. I'm super glad that I did! The Shox O-drive were totally NOT as cute on my big feet as they were on Cathe's! I tried the Ballo's and they were totally cute! and on sale, and in my closet now!!!
 
Hey, quit putting pics of my shoes on the internet! }( Yep, those are the ones I ordered, are supposedly shipping Sept. 11. Aren't they cool? :p
