New Year's Eve Dessert Ideas?

My friend asked me to bring a dessert to her party. I want to do something different, not just the usual go-to which is baking out of a box. I'd like to avoid cakes or anything large; cookies, bars, or cupcakes would be good, this way I don't have to worry about collecting a plate back.

TIA!!!!

Melissa, I like to 'surprise' people with Oreo Balls. NOT CLEAN, by ANY stretch of the imagination, but super easy, quick and delish! All you do is process a package of Oreo cookies in a food processor till they're all crumbs. Then add in a brick Cream Cheese and process till it combines and forms a ball. Roll them into balls, about 1" big and chill for about 30 minutes or so. Then, you can do whatever you want with them....sometimes I dip them entirely in melted chocolate of different colors, sometimes I melt colored chocolate and swirl on top by using a zip lock bag with a small whole cut out, sometimes I just dust with powdered sugar! To HELP a LITTLE, you can use the lower fat version of both the Oreos and the CC, and it tastes the same.

Have fun, whatever you decide to make!

(edited to fix my typo....Oreo BALLS, not Oreo BARS)

Sorry this is a little late....

One of my all time faves,

Raw Balls

2-3 handfuls Pecans
7-10 Mejool dates pitted
2-3 Tbs goji berries (or dried apricots work well also)
1 handful Coconut shredded
1 Tbs raw Maca (optional)
1 Tbs Mesquite (optional)
Dash of sea salt
3-4 Tbs raw Cacao
3-4 Tbs Agave Nectar
1 tsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients in a food processor. Roll into 1-2 inch balls. Roll some in coconut and some in cocoa. Store in refridgerator.

You can mix & match the nuts and dried fruit to your liking. These are always a big hit. Even the kids like them. Totally raw...vegan.

Happy New Year!
