New website & s/w question

This may be a stupid question, but are you testing the new website and software on some sort of linux box with a firefox browser? That's the set up I use most often, so I sure hope it'll be supported. I'm happy to be a beta tester (I've already signed up from the link on the blog).

You don't have to worry about Firefox as it is CS3 compliant and is one of the best browsers you can use. IE on the other hand is still not CS3 compliant and is much harder to write code for. But to answer your question, yes we test on both Firefox and IE and our forums and Workout Manager should work just fine on both. We also check on Safari, but have found as long as things work in Firefox, they also work just fine in Safari. Also, our Forums and Workout Manager Software are both on a Linux server and you should not have any problems except for the normal bugs you will always see in any beta release.

Awesome -- thanks. I've worked in s/w for over 20 years, so I understand about the bugs found in beta. :)

Hi Beth-
Where is the link on the blog you are talking about to sign up as a beta tester?(I looked through the blog, and blind 'ole me could not find it!)
thank you!

Ok, you're the second person to ask me about the link on the blog. I don't remember if it was on the blog or the home page. I cannot find anything now except a button on the home page that says "sign up for email updates". It may just be that. I'm sorry if I've gotten everyone all in a lather to see something new or be a beta tester this very day. There is nothing new right now -- no mail has been sent out -- I was just thinking about it and wondering if my somewhat non-standard set up would be a problem whenever it is ready.

Sorry,
-Beth
