New to Cathe Rotation and I need advice

Hi All-
I'm doing the Nov.06 Rotation. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Never done a rotation before. My question, can I do the elliptical or anything else (I do have the Hard Core series)for the 45 min. run and get the same effect??? I haven't run in a very long time. My 20 min. run turned out to be a 3 min. run walk 3 min.run.I would love to get back into running, but I'm running out of air. Any advice would be greatly apricated.

Hi Belinda,

Congratulations on keeping up with the rotation--they can be tough. I pretty much think you can sub any cardio for the run. I think the idea is to make that day a "cardio" day(as opposed to a weight day) so you would be fine doing the elliptical. A great running program to get back into it is the Couch to 5K program found on www.coolrunning.com. It works on intervals so it really breaks you back into running.
