after surgury on my knee I have discovered that I actually lost weight doing less cardio a week; normally at least 6 hrs a week. Doing just upper body work S & H upper and Push and Pull upper 3 times premix on the DVD and abs using some resistance for about half of abs. I did cardio 3 times a week this week, for 30 minutes one day was 45. as opposed to 1 hr.6 times a week. This is lower impact cardio than I usually do. Last week it was 16-24 minutes. I had a cyst removed almost 1 month ago off of my knee. It got infected and I have had to use a lot of ice and of course antibiotics. One of the best things I have learned is that I have been overtraining as I am usually so sleepy most of the time. Especially as I am not sleeping more than usual, if anything less. I am like an energizer bunny cleaning cabinets and closets. I started a few lower body exercises yesterday. I have watched my diet pretty well though. Not necessarily lower in calories, just what I eat, ie. starches and fats.
