So, what do you guys think you're going to get when the new stuff comes out??? Now that I have a DVD player, I want everything on DVD, and I'm so happy that they're putting Bodymax and MIS together!!! :-jumpy :-jumpy

But...whew, it sure is going to be pretty pricey if I get them all at once. What was the presale price on the 8 pack DVD's? I ordered them on tape at the time, and didn't even look at DVD prices until a few months ago when I got the 8 pack on DVD.

I sold my tapes of CTX to help fund the DVD version--do any of you plan to sell some of your tapes (MIS, bodymax, Imax), or will you keep them to have both the tape and the DVD version?
Just excited and curious!

Hi,

I think I'll sell my tapes to fund my new DVD's. I have a question though. I remember the presale price for the 8 pack was something like 119.00. The 8 pack now is 129.00. It doesn't look like much of a presale discount on the DVDs. I thought it would shoot up. Are you guys going to buy during presale or buy a little at a time? I guess shipping adds to the price if you buy a DVD here and there.

This is my first post. I have all of Cathe's videos and previous DVD's and I was just thinking about the probable cost of all this. I've only had my 8 pack for a few months so I wasn't in on the pre-order. As for selling or keeping videos there's no question. I'm keeping! The DVD player is connected to the big TV. If I don't get my workouts in before dh comes home from work I have to use my tiny TV/VCR. It would be nice to sell to help foot the bill but I need backup for when I can't use the DVD player. Oh no! Does that mean I'll need the new workouts on DVD and video? Maybe I just need another DVD player?

Linda

Agree. I need my VHS because my whole gym is VHS and the DVD is on the "big tv" so dh can watch Donnie Brosco and Sopranos in stereo. (He's Irish, so go figure...):-hmmm Plus, I have not yet learned to work the DVD.

So, VHS first; maybe DVD later if I get a DVD for the gym.

Wendy--I own all of Cathe's tapes & DVDs, too. Excessive? naaaaah....greedy, maybe. haha Althought it probably would make sense to sell the VHS tapes, I'm going to keep them JUST IN CASE my DVD player ever goes on the blink. We have two VCRs so I'm always certain to have some means of doing my Cathe workouts (except if we have a power failure). CONSIDER IT AN INVESTMENT IN YOURSELF. Don't be frugal when it comes to keeping fit. You'll save money in the long run because you'll be in excellent health! You're worth it. Suzanna

Selling for DVD funds

I sold my CTX tapes on ebay to fund my DVDs, and I'm selling VHS versions of the old workouts that are coming out on DVD to help fund those. I sold my PS tapes as soon as I knew they were coming out on DVD so I could order the moment that they were available. It means going without certain workouts during the lag between my sales and the workouts' release, but it's worth it to me. That way I don't feel guilty spending the $$, since I sold my other videos to fund them. :) I have a lot of other videos, so I can still have great workouts in the meantime. I'm getting them all,in case there was any question. ;-)

On the "How much?" question, if I remember right, the pre-sales on the 8-pack came out to roughly $15 per workout, including shipping. I don't know if the pre-sale deals will be better this time, or about the same.

Just FYI for any considering getting a DVD player ( or ANOTHER DVD player }> ): I heard that Cosco is selling the Pioneer DV-C503 for $219. That's the really great 5-disk machine that will program across disks. And it's an amazing price! You could then have combos of the Slow and Heavy with some cardio, or whatever else you wanted. How about the Warm up and step section of MIC, followed by the lower body from BMax? OR you could do a couple of section from Rhythmic Step followed by the Upper Body part of MIS. You see why the Pioneer 503 would be an INVESTMENT in your health? Hee, hee! :-gloat

Happy daydreaming, everyone! :)

Thanks a lot Erin!

I almost had myself talked out of a DVD player thinking "how often would I do combos anyway?" Now I'm back to wanting one. Oh well, dh should be happy. He said, "If you get a DVD player I'm getting my welder!"

Andrea

Happy to be of service!

Should I start explaining why you really need Cardio Hits and CTX DVDs? :)

Hi guys! I don't own a DVD player - not ready to "go there" yet. If I did though, I wouldn't give up my tapes. Is it just me or what? When I go on vacation, I drag my tapes with me. If my family goes skiing (I don't ski) I stay in and do tapes (I even take my weights and step). If we go somewhere where I can't take the step, I take tapes that don't require equipment like Taebo. Actually I take Cathe's cause they can be modified without the step to get a great work out. (I am so bad that if our hotel room doesn't have a VCR we go to Blockbuster and rent one!) My husband thinks I am nuts but I am addicted. A plus - I never gain weight while I am on vacation...
