Need workout advice?

Hi ladies!!:) I just went to the skin doctor today and found out that i have to have 2 moles removed from my back. The doctor told me that for at least 6 weeks i can not do anything that would pull the stitches open. So my question is what workouts, weight and aerobic, would be safe for those 6 weeks? I really don't want to stop working out altogether. If the weather remains nice here then i will take to the streets and walk. Weight training is what i am really concerned about. I guess i could still do chest, bi's, tri's upper back (with the support of a bench)& Shoulders. As far as lower body, im not for sure what i am going to do. The spot is on my lower back about 1/2 inch to the left of my spine. I go in March 18th so i have about 2 weeks. I just thought i would see if anyone would have a light recovery rotation that would be safe on lower back. Then again maybe i am making a big honken deal about it and i will walk away and say that wasnt so bad!! Thanks guys for any advice. Tricia Haley

PS i did ask the doctor if i could workout and all he said was, "just don't do anything that would pull the stitches open." WOW, alot of help that advice was. heeheehee:+

Hi Tricia,

That's a toughie. Before you go in on the 18th, why don't you experiment with some workouts? This is a really odd and potentially dumb idea lol, but maybe you could put a band aid over the spot while you work out. When you are done, you can check the spot to see if the band aid is where you put it or if it's falling off. I think that might give you a good indication of where your skin will be stretching and moving, which you'd want to avoid while you have the stitches.
