Need some help with a July 4 workout

Hi All, I need some help planning my July 4 bootcamp workout! I'd like to make it fun for those rare few that want to wake up early that day and come out to the park for a bootcamp workout...

So far, I was thinking of making it kind of a trip through American History or something goofy like that- having them do toy soldiers (straight arms and legs) for the American Revolution, something like wacky jacks which some participants call teapots for the Boston Tea Party, etc. I'm sure I can figure something out for the Statue of Liberty, too!

Any other suggestions?? I'm glad I have a week to come up with these things!!! :p

Thanks!!!

Melody, I think cameras are forbidden, given some of the positions I make them get into... }(

Oooooh...what a cute idea!

You know those wide knee jog in 90x warmups where ya kind of trot like a horse? Well you can liken it to Paul Revere's ride.

Thanks Tammy!!!! I love that!!!! I think what I'm looking for most is the American things... I can come up with almost any kind of justification for the exercises!!!

I'm thinking running the baseball diamonds, since baseball is as American as Apple Pie... and speaking of apple pie, pushups in a pie where you move your hands around in a circle... and I figure we can do snow devils to begin, or some kind of swimming thing to make it across the Atlantic from England...

}( this will be fun!!

Amy that sounds like so much fun! I bet your BC classes are a blast! Wish I were there to join in on the fun. Your creativity is remarkable.

Swimming - Washington crossing the Delaware River!

Air Jumps - Roman Candles

Air Jacks - Fireworks

Battle of Gettysburg - push up then move 4 to the right - push up - 4 to the right...

Oh, I'm sure we'll come up with some things tomorrow on the hike. We have 8 miles to do so! :)

You are very creative! No wonder your class adores you! (even while they hate you - kind of like we love to hate Cathe!)

There's always "Mountain climbers" for "purple mountain majesty".
(Psst! I always hated mountain climbers when I was made to do them in the military!)
