Need shoe suggestion for flat, wide, caloused feet

I have wide feet that are heavily caloused in the ball area--I remove them frequently, but they always come right back. I do fine with step and most kickboxing moves, but the lateral moves--especially in hi/lo--give me horrible blisters on the inside of my foot right below the ball. Currently I have Ryka Rhythm II's. They aren't cutting it. I had Ryka's (I think Enlight) before this pair and the toe box seemed more roomy. I like the feel of the Ryka's better than any other shoe I had tried previously, but I haven't found anything that prevents these blisters. I also get blisters when I run, so I don't do much of that anymore. I've also tried different kinds of socks, but with no success.

Currently I have to tape my feet if I want to do hi/lo or an extra-long workout. It's frustrating that my feet always give out before my body does.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Carol F

I have the same problems. Not so much w/blisters but my feet often cramp up after about 15 minutes of any activity b/c I have no arch. Also I walk a lot b/c I live really close to work & even when I wear my most comfortable shoes it makes my feet hurt. Sometimes I feel like the Little Mermaid.

:-(

Anyway, Nike is my preferred shoe. They're very comfortable, & I always go 1/2 size up b/c of my wide feet. The fabric Shox are my favorite (for some reason haven't had much luck w/the pleather Shox).

Also Asics makes a pretty comfortable shoe. They're a little wider but I still go 1/2 size up.
