Need Shoe Advice Please....

Has anyone ever used a walk shoe to do aerobics? I know this is a silly question. But, the New Balance 620 I brought a few weeks ago, they are not working. I was maybe 30 minutes or so into Imax and got a sharp splint in my right foot (and that hurt) ARGH.... Yep, they are going back.

I have called all over town looking for the New Balance 606 they discontinued the 606, replacing them with the 620.

Anyhow, I was at Foot Locker last night. And, the manager showed me the Reebok DMX the sole on that shoe is awesome, nice and thick, just what I need for my feet. When I tried them on they felted awesome, they’ve some form of gel made in the heel and toes area, which give maximum support. The shoe felted really good. I was sold, I compared the soles on the DMX to the 606 (they only had one pair of 606 left, and it was a size 5) the DMX soles are unbelievably thicker. So, I brought a pair.

Anyhoo, come to find out it’s a ‘WALK’ shoe. Never thought to ask because I told her what I do. High impact cardio and so on. I looked at the box once I got home and when I saw walk shoe I almost fell out.

Now, she claims it could be used as a cross trainer. Now I am in AW whether I can use a walk shoe to do cardio. Your comments and suggestion are very appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Teddygirl.

The shoe I'm using for now is a New Balance tennis shoe. For aerobics you need a shoe made for lateral moves. If you can't find a good cross trainer I suggest you try a tennis shoe. I really like mine.

Thank you

Michele, I have always used an Aerobic shoes for Aerobics, if running a running shoe, but never a walk shoe unless walking. What I have decided to do was try em, can't hurt, right! except my feet :):)

Foot Lock Manager claims i can use this particular shoe, because of the way they are made. I'm going to try tomorrow or maybe tonight. I shall see ;)
