Hey Guys,
I'm not new to the Cathe site. When the format was changed and all I was unable to log in under my old user name (mizlaur123) for some reason, so I created a new user name. Anyway (I tend to trail off lol), I have lost about 13 lbs. (eating clean and exercising) and have about 7 more till i hit my goal of 150 lbs. I have been having so much trouble controlling my eating. I can't stop snacking and picking! I just seem to have no willpower anymore and its making me depressed :-(. Has anyone else hit about the half way mark of their weight loss then started like sabotaging themselves and snacking A TON or anything? I need something that will help motivate me and get me back on track with mydiet. My workouts are still good but I'm not seeing the results I want because my eating hasn't been very clean. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Lauren

Hey Lauren,

I don't have any advice, I just wanted you to know that you're not alone. I'm in the same rut. Maybe someone has some advice for us.

Yes, I've been there. I'm not sure that I have something magical to say that it just going to make it click for you. But I can tell you this...

In the beginning, working out might be enough to help you start to drop the pounds. But sooner or later, that will taper off, and it will be almost all about your eating. When I know that I have started to indulge too much, I make a promise to myself to have no cheats for X number of days.

About a year ago, I challenged myself to an entire week (a huge thing for me!) of absolutely squeaky clean eating. That really kick started it for me, and I weaned myself off of some of my favorite unhealthy foods.

Good luck!!

First of all~congrats on losing 13 pounds!

Don't beat yourself up on this. If it was that simple & easy to lose weight then everyone would be thin rather than struggling to drop those last 10+ pounds.

I think the key for me is moderation...eat clean 80-90% of the time but allow for cheats so I don't feel deprived. The weight may come off slower but at least I maintain some sanity and my family doesn't fall victim to my deprivation mood swings:eek:

Good luck!

Thanks guy!! It's really just the diet I'm having a hard time with. I workout out 6 days a week and rarely miss a day. I just can't seem to control my eating! But thanks for lettin me know I'm not alone!
