Need high intensity, low impact modifications

SRP

Cathlete
As some of you know, I just got the okay from my doctor to resume regular step workouts after recovering from a stress fracture in my shin. He said I need to work up to it gradually, of course.

Since so many of Cathe's workouts include very high impact, plyometric moves, I'm looking for some moves I can sub until I feel comfortable with the "biggies." The ones I'm esepcially concerned about are the tuck jump and air jacks.

I'm thinking that something along the lines of those knee-up, then lunge back and tap the step, as in Low Impact Circuit, might suffice to keep the intensity up. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!!!

What about something like squat jumps instead of the tuck jumps? Basically, squat down, touch the floor with your fingertips, then jump up, arms in the air. You don't even really have to leave the floor for these to work, you can just go up onto your toes (kind of like she does with the dynamic outer thighs in LM). Tony Horton does these in Plyo X and they BURN.}(

Hey Cuz!!

As you know, I don't have any advice for you on this topic--lol! I just wanted to tell you how happy I am that you've been given the go ahead to up the intensity of your workouts, although I cannot imagine why anyone would want to:p :7. I hope you'll still play with Ellie from time to time.

Really, Cuz, I know how much you've missed working out and I'm thrilled that you can start easing back into your normal routine. Promise me you won't overdo it, OK?:* :*

ETA that I love the advice Shelley gave you and will take it myself.:)
