Need help with my plan please!

Cathlete
Good morning,

I am a newbie here and would LOVE to hear some suggestions on a couple things. I am transitioning up my workout program to Cathe level and the more I preview these videos here, the more I realize how quickly I will tire of my old videos etc. Last night I put up all my newer Taebo DVDs (the "bootcamp" videos...no challenge at all) for sale so I could buy more Cathe!!

Anyway, I currently work out 6-7 days a week. I alternate "Cardio" days with "Weight" days and currently start each workout with a 20 minute "HIIT" type session on my elliptical, then move into cardio (which has been primarily Taebo: I enjoy the older harder workouts) on those days and a heavied-up FIRM workout on weight days.

FIRMS don't cut it much anymore, especially after seeing every Cathe workout. I also want to start upping my cardio sessions for more intense fat burning etc.

SO, here is where I would like your advice!! }(

***I have these videos right now to start with: Gym Style Legs, Kick Max, imax2 + cardio and weights, and Low Max. I will likely order 2 more based on recommendations.

I would like to know what Cathe videos you would consider to be killer cardio sessions and what videos you would recommend for weight training days.

Of course if you have other cardio videos that are great, pass that on. I"ve seen a lot of people talking about Turbo Jam but many have said they are kind of easy...I want sweat dripping cardio sessions that are long.

Please tell me what you suggest, I SO appreciate it.
My goals are to lose 10-12 pounds. I am currently 129-130 at 5'4, 36 years old, 21% body fat. Most of the fat I still see is on my upper thighs YUK and a bit on the hips. So would love to slim that area even though I know spot reducing is a fantasy.

****ALSO CAN SOMEONE POST THAT LINK TO ALL OF CATHE'S ROTATIONS....I KNOW I SAW IT EARLIER THIS WEEK BUT DIDN'T SAVE IT!!

Thank you!

hi kelly welcome

first here is a list of cathe's rotation http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=7&topic_id=3408&mesg_id=3408&page=

and secondly for your video suggestions. i see you already have gym style legs so compliment those with the two other gym style workouts so you have upper body as well. you can also go with the Pyramid Lower BOdy/Pyramid Upper Body DVD,and of couse all those premixes make so worth the money and very versatile.

for cardio you have some great ones but i would also add on kick,punch,crunch/legs and glutes dvd. i just got this on dvd myself and let me tell you, on top of the workouts, the premixes are AWESOME. plus you can create your own workout blender b/c the body blast series has that option.and legs and glutes makes for a killer light weight leg workout and the kickbox cardio helps shed the body fat and burn calories. i also enjoy using my rhythmic step+ dvd. this one has 3 workouts rhythmic step(a little tricky but fun to learn)interval max (the first of the IMAX collection), and Maximum Intensity Cardio(so killer i was only able to complete it 2-3 times in the entirety). this particular dvd doesn't have premade premixes but is chaptered very well and has the mix and match option that you can combine cardio segments to make your workout from them. and if you want to add on more abs there is the core max dvd or the abs hits dvd. both great recommendations for adding on ab work.

and don't forgot to eat healthy, whole foods and watch your intake. make sure your calories/fat/etc or not to high BUT not to low either to see best results.

welcome again kelly, i hope others have some more great suggestions for you

I second Kassia's suggestion for your next two purchases:

Rhythmic Step / Interval Max / Maximum Intensity Cardio (three real nosebleed cardio workouts); and

Pyramid Upper / Lower Body for muscle strengthening.

The tough thing as you'r launching into CatheLand is what to leave out. At first. IMHO those two will get you off to a good start, and then you can keep adding on.

I don't have any other suggestions either in terms of an eating regime; Kassia covered that too!
