Those of you that are having a problem playing older videos with the Cathe Live iOS app can you test 5-8-14 Boot Camp again? First, make sure to close the app by swiping it off your screen. I'm curious to see if it now works for you?

Well, you knew I would be along...:). It started just about right away, no error message, it started distorted
For about 5-10 sec then cleared up.....I don't have time right now to play any longer...maybe when I eat supper,
I'll watch it a bit longer...I did notice that it says "medium quality" instead of high quality. Once the picture
Quit jumping and straightened out, it looked ok.

Ok, I watched 3o+ min of it and it started right away, no distortion at the beginning, like before, and it seemed
To play fine for the 30 min I played it, I didn't notice any distortion this time and the audio-video seemed to be
In sync.

About 20 min. in the picture gets distorted. Sound is ok.

Hi Peanuts,

Thanks for testing. I'm not seeing this on my iPad Air. What device are you using and do you have high or a low speed internet? Also, if possible can you try this again tomorrow? I'm curious to see if you can duplicate the problem.

I have an iPad Air 2 and internet speed is 20 Mbps. I'll test again tomorrow. I usually can play most of the Live workouts in high speed setting with no issues from the website.

Well, tested this morning and it was much much better. Only had a couple of slight freezes but the workout went back to playing just fine.

Hi Peanuts,

Thanks for testing again. My best guess is that what you saw yesterday was caused by one of two things: First possible reason is your internet speed is below average. With most ISP's the advertised download speed ( in your case 20 mbps) is the maximum internet speed and the actual speed varies depending on the overall network traffic and other factors. The only way to know your actual speed at any moment is to do a test on a site like speedtest.net. Also, your 20 mbps is only the combined total all of your devices in your house can utilize. In other words if two people in your house are each trying to stream or download a video your 20 mbps will be divided between each of you cutting your actual speed perhaps in half. In the case of the player we use in Cathe Live it will adjust the quality of the video you're seeing 'on the fly". This means that if your bandwidth drops during the broadcast the player will detect this and will automatically switch to a lesser quality stream. This might explain what you saw yesterday when the quality of the video dropped after 2o mins. This is an indication that the player had to switch to a lesser quality stream because your device was having trouble keeping up.

The second possible reason for your problem is "something else went wrong". Could have been something at the transmission end with our Cloud server, perhaps a router or a computer you're using needs to be rebooted or updated or... "who knows"?

Regardless of the reason for the problem you experienced I would check with your ISP to see if they can upgrade your download speed. If you have more than one internet option in your area you can often get an increase in speed for no charge by threatening to switch carriers. The minimum speed that a carrier can advertise for having broadband is 25 mbps and if they can deliver 20 mbps they should be capable of delivering 100 mbps. An increase in speed will solve 95% of all stalls and freezes as long as your computer is not out of date.

Hope this helps, and let us know of any other issues.

I cannot play the older Live videos with my Chromecast, the newer ones play fine. :(. I have reset my router, rebooted the phone that I use to cast to the TV etc.. No luck.
