Need Good Sneaker Recommendations!!!

I really need a good sneaker recommendation. I have purchased 3 different sneakers in the last 6 months and I'm still not happy! Either I'm getting support in the back of my foot and not in the front, or vice versa....

I don't jog or anything, but I do alot of hi/lo, stepping and LOTS of weightlifting. I don't even mind if I have to buy different sets of sneakers for different activities at this point....I just want sneakers with good support! (Can you tell I'm exasperated about this yet???????)

Anyway, any recommendations would be most helpful.

Thank you!!!

Terri

Hey Terri,
I also have tried a lot of different brands and styles and I have never found anything more comfortable than Ryka Evolution. They have the lateral support you need for those Cathe tapes. I truly believe that Ryka are the best brand around for stepping. Amy Jo

My very favorite brand is AVIA. I buy whatever crosstrainers they have out at the time. I usually buy at least 3 pairs together. When I start the first one, I take a sharpie and mark the date on the bottoms of both shoes. That way, I'll know when I've used them for about 3 months. And also, I can put the appropriate pairs together, because I have a ton of shoes that look exactly alike. And I can't bear to throw them out because they're still good for playing or just working on the weightroom floor in the gym.

Another Ryka devotee

I have been wearing various Rykas for about 3 years now, and I will never go back to any other brand of shoe for my workouts! They give me the best support and the best longevity. I had tried Reeboks, Nikes, and Avias in the past, and all of them fell short of Rykas for my particular foot. Do make sure that you try them on before buying, as some people ( not me ) have found them to run a bit small. Happy shopping! :)

Gotta go with

New balance for me. i currently have 6 different pairs of shoes (Avia, 2 Reebok, 3 New Balance,) in use. I have an 11 2A foot that pronates markedly. Ryka doesn't make anything to fit me--they are small. I would Never be able to do high impact without new Balance running shoes....

I just wanted everyone to know that I went out and bought my new Ryka's yesterday! As soon as I put them on, they felt like they fit like a glove....and I haven't taken them off yet! (well, I did actually take them off when I went to bed last night....)

Anyway, I'm going to do my first workout with them in a little while and I'll keep you guys posted!!! (the silly things we get excited about, right?)

Well, I too needed new shoes and based on the recomendations, I went out to Lady Foot Locker( I live in Texas) and not only found a pair of Evolutions, but they were on sale for $29. And just to make me feel like the luckiest person ever, there was only one pair left and it was my size. And believe me that never happens cause I wear a size 6. Sorry I just had to share my excitement. If you have a Lady footlocker near you, you might go look.

Oh, man, Valerie, you are sooo lucky! If they were on sale for $29 at the Foot Locker I went to, I would have bought 3 of them!!! (I'm a size 6 also!)

Anyway, just wanted you all to know that I absolutely LOVE these sneakers! They are soooo comfortable.....I am happy once again....

Thanks, guys!
