Need advice on kitchen makeover

Hi -I have a question about replacing kitchen appliances. Currently we have very standard white Kenmore stove, fridge, dishwasher. The fridge broke last year and we purchased a black side/side thinking we wanted to eventually do black appliances. Now I'm having second thoughts on the black especially if we get some sort of black stone counter top.

Do you think it would look ok if I mix the solid black fridge with a black and stainless smooth top range and black/stainless dishwasher? I was also thinking of doing black with stainless finish microwave installed above the range. I'd still do a black stone counter. I'm still not sure about a cabinet finish, I'd be open to suggestions.

My kitchen is small and part of a living/dining great room - so from the sink I can see the dining/living room and they can see kitchen.

My hubby is not too helpful with this so any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

That sounds beautiful! It's OK if you don't go all stainless steel.

I'd go for something light on the cabinets b/c you have dark appliances & counter. I have something similar--I have stainless steel fridge & microwave, black stove, dk green granite countertops & wood floor. My cabinets are a really pretty light maple, & I put crystal knobs on them (my house is Victorian era).

I have black granite tiled countertops, black and stainless steel appliances, and natural-colored wood cabinets, and I love it all together. Our floor is slate tile.
