Need Advice on getting started again!!!

So, Ive taken about 4 months off from exercising. Ive had quite a bit going on & let life interrupt my health.
Ive gained 13 lbs to go along w/ it. :(
I want to start fresh & I am ready to start fresh.
But Im not sure where to start. After 4 months off I know Ive lost my ability to keep up w/ Cathe!!!
Ive got most of Cathe's workouts up through the Hardcore Series.

Any suggestions on what sort of rotation? Im looking to lose those 13 lbs + regain my definition that I lost.
I can commit to 5x a week w/ 45 - 1 hr to workout.

I seem to do better when I rotate a few workouts for awhile & then change it up. But I am open to suggestions or a better way to go about this!

My advice would be to start with one of Cathe's rotations. Some are way tough but I looked thru and saw some that might work for you. I actually do better when I follow a rotation...look in the Video & DVD rotations thread and at the top is Index for Cathe Rotations - 2, click on that and you can find all the rotations....HTH...:)..Carole
 
I just started back after being off 8 months. I have exactly one hour to commit each day, six days per week. What I've been doing is 30 min of cardio (step, kickboxing, lowmax), alternating UB/LB & abs (every day). I will have to say that I had no problems keeping up with Cathe (I mean choreography..I've dropped my step down to 4" on most things, 6" on LowMax). However, I came up with a butt muscle injury because I expected too much way too soon...I did this in the first week and pulled back a little the second week but things are now fine. Bottom line...start a little slower than I did...I think you'll be fine.

I recently started back after a few months off, too. I just started slowly and within a few weeks, I am almost back to my regular intensity! I still have several pounds to lose, but I feel great again!

Just get up every day and do something, even if it is just a warm up! Good for you for coming back!
