Just had to share!!! We just ordered, not one, but two spinning bikes!!:-jumpy I am so excited. I think I have my hubby really excited also. Well, as a matter of fact, I KNOW I do or we wouldn't have ordered two bikes. We ended up ordering the "Schwinn Comp" and I just asked the guy (Not thinking it would matter) if I could possibly get an instructor discount. He said normally they don't for home use but he did come down $80.00!!! I couldn't believe it. I then called him back today asking him if we ordered two bikes could he discount them more and he did by $25.00 more for each bike!! HB, we bought them at the Health & Fitness place by Mark's that you recommended. THANKS!! I never knew the place existed. The guys name is Keith if you want to go bargain with him on a treadmill. I'm waiting on a phone call back right now to see how soon they can get them from the warehouse in Cleveland. He's thinking 3-5 days and they assemble them free for you. I'll mention you may be stopping in. Sorry, I don't mean to be bragging. I'm just excited to try something new. One more thing, Nancy~Which tape do you think my DH would like better, Jay's or Mindy's?? I plan to get them both but wanted to know which one would inspire HIM more. Oh yeah, Keith is also going to throw in a free JohnnyG tape! Sorry guys, enuf babbling! :-shy Your-Friend-In-Fitness, DebbieH :)

Oh Wow Debbie!!! That's great:-jumpy...and good job on working a deal, you go girl;-)!

As far as which tape to get that your husband will like..yikes, I'll have to lean towards Jays. It's a tough pick though:-(. I'm just guessing, without knowing your husband, but Jay does keep it more on the straight and narrow. Mindy has a great personality and I love how she gets you motivated with a slight touch of silliness..but you might want to break him in on that slowly;-). Besides, the new Precision Cycling has a much more polished look to it and is newer..has a good group of guys in it..possibly leans more to a guy tape.
As far as cost, check Mindys site for a sale on hers and I think the only place I've seen Precision Cycling is at Collage.
I'll be interested in how you like JohnnyGs LOL.

Good for you DebbieH...and your hubby!!! Two more home spinners who will be wanting more workouts on tape...gotta love ya!

Thanks again for the advice. I tend to think my hubby would go more for Jay's tape too now that you mention the silliness. :7 I will break him in slowly with Mindy! I know he will grow to like her too. She's a hoot in Slammin' Sports. I'll go check out both sites and see if I can luck out on a sale. How are you doing? I thought about you today and was thinking~ERICA can come & spin with me!! (Broken tailbone & all!!) How has it been the past few days, any better? Great news!!

Glad I steered you over to that store. When I was in the market for an Airdyne, they were the only ones who came down on the price to any degree.

I'm anxious to find out how you like spinning!! Of course you'll let us know!;-)

Having TWO spin bikes means you will have to join me for an occasional spin!!! I've already told my daughter she'll have to come spin with me this summer and it will put her baby (due June 6th.) to sleep! Let me know if you go to see Keith for your treadmill. Might be fun to "go for a spin." I resist classes at the Y because I like to set up my own schedule, but the idea of spinning in your little workout room DOES sound interesting. I need to get my bike legs in gear with my airdyne first. Right now my bike is in a crowded spare bedroom with no cable TV so I don't use it. I WILL use is in the new workout room! By then you will have checked out all your new spinning tapes and decided on the good ones!

Just want to tell you how envious I am of your new bikes! Wow, spinning right in your own home...Spinning kicks my butt! I'd rather run a 10mi. long run. The only thing that gets me that winded is Imax or Gin Miller at level three! It is weird how deceivingly tough it is. Maybe it is the isolation of the quads or something. I spin like taking medicine,cuz I know it is good for me.:-rollen I plan on taking Steve and his broken toe for classes next week. Have fun and let us know what video you decide on. Deb D.

I can't wait! You want to come join me for a spin? Any tips you can share would be appreciated. From what I hear, it is a lil' tough getting used to the seat for a female??? Oh yea, I forgot about the seat problem. I wore my bike shorts early on. I don't think it took more than a week to get over the discomfort. Since your so fit Debbie, you will no doubt be off your seat often, right? That will help alot. AWESOME X-training!Add spinning the mix and watch what happens during workouts like Imax....:-jumpy Good News, I recieved my MIC yesterday. I'll give it a stab today and let you know what I think.
