Hi Nancy,
I just came back about a week ago from Alaska. It was beautiful. I brought warm clothes such as fleece tops, a waterproof jacket & long pants I used all of them. We had 2 days of sun the 1st days at sea, at the 3 ports it was damp & rainy and the last day at sea was cool. I still say people dressed in shorts, bathing suits, short sleeves but I'm always cold so I was very comfortable. They sell cheap fleece tops, sweatshirts etc. at the gift shops.
The only thing I thought we wasted money on was the Tram in Juneau. It was $23.00 to take a scary ride to the top but it was too overcast to enjoy the scenery + I thought to expensive for a family of 4. Loved the helicopter ride even though it too was so scary. I'm such a sissy.
The princess cruise line (I think that's what you said you were going on) was great the food was really good. I put on 3lbs, I ate dessert with every meal! Bring lots of film or digital camera you will get great pictures. Any questions, please ask, also let us know how you like Alaska.
