Myrtle Beach

Can anyone offer some good suggestions on a good oceanfront hotel or condo to stay at in Myrtle Beach? We decided to do a trip in May, but we are having trouble deciding from the internet what looks nice and what does not. I need someplace clean - and we definitely want a good view of the ocean.

If anyone can direct me to a good place I would appreciate it! This will be our first trip to Myrtle....

My husband and I go to Myrtle Beach ever summer for vacation and I've been going there since I was a little girl.
I can probably help you out a little with some information. First, will you be going to North Myrtle Beach (NC part) or South Myrtle Beach (SC part)? Second, do not trust anything you see on the websites. They can be very deceiving and you may end up in a place you will be less than happy with. We have found that out the hard way. Third, are you taking kids? There are lots of hotels that cater to families with lazy rivers, pools and lots of kids activities.
