Am I hallucinating, or in the scenes from next week did I see the big bad guy from last season? (forgot his name -- always wore turtlenecks)

I want to think they killed him last year, but hubby says he doesn't think so.

I LOVED the Senator's tough talk to the agents about "whatever it takes" to deal with his son and get him to talk.

Excellent episode last night! I didn't see anyone I recognized in the previews for next week, but that really doesn't mean squat. ROSE - DON'T READ THIS NEXT SENTENCE:
Hooray for Behruz (or however you spell that name)! I think he's going to turn against his father and help CTU.

I really liked last nights as well! I know they are "the bad guys" but I was so glad Beruz didn't get killed...for the moms sake. Can't imagine anything worse, speaking as a mother.

Anyway, Jack had me really drooling last night. If he ever needs a love interest, I'll do it for free!!! Oh, yummy!!!

I think the mom and Beruz will help CTU also. Not just because of the turn of events but because of something Keifer said in an interview before the season started. He said that the Middle Eastern population is mad about the way they are portrayed in the first bunch of episodes but there is redemtion.

I TOLD YOU the black lady was against CTU!!! Didn't I say it last week! Doing my "told you so" dance:7 :7 :7

I see some "new" bad guys, including Jack's girlfriend's (I forget her name)husband (something is going to happen between him and Jack).

And I still think the head of CTU is up to something!

An interesting dynamic in Berooz's (sp?) family. Who's going to turn against whom? Dad already turned against his son. Mom can be deceptively sweet and dangerous, so who will she side with: her son or her husband? Seems to me she could go either way, even though she's shown that the "cause" is more important than Berooz's feelings (by killing Debbie).

Speaking as a mom, the child would win out every time. If my dh ever tried to hurt her, I'd turn against him faster than a mother bear. I think that Mom was better able to handle the murder of Debbie because she was American and basically a stranger. She thought he needed to learn a lesson, plus she knew that he HAD to do it or his life was in danger. Remember when she came home and found out that the other guy had come and taken Behruz? She cried that he shouldn't have come because Behruz killed the girl. She was protecting her son by killing the girlfriend.

LOVED last nights show! I wasn't sure I'd like this season but after last night, its excellent! I was thinking that because they got rid of all the older characters, that I wouldn't like it anymore. Well, I didn't like any of the older characters anyways so I'm not sure what I was so worried about! LOL!!! I'm glad they cleaned house and have new blood in there. I'm happy Beruz did what he did as well, and I bet like someone else on here said, he'll be working with CTU before long.

I will say it again, William DeVane is so damn cool!!! I love that guy and I'm so glad he's on this season. He's a great actor, I loved him in Knots Landing!

Hey everybody! I couldn't wait and I watched it last night. Boy am I glad I didn't read this post! You gave it up! Anyway I didn't recognize anyone from next week's scenes either and Donna I don't have kids yet but I'm sure that my mother feels the same about putting her kids first (and my best friend with her daughter and my sister with her three children). Any kids that get a mamma bear are lucky because not every woman is like that. I have to comment on this episode though. I don't know why it made me think about the current situation with the war and it made me think about the soldiers and about people from the Middle East. I had a professor in college that said that we shouldn't lose faith in humanity just because a small percentage of human beings are bad. Maybe that is the message they are trying to send this season.
