My time change tip

For those of you who are "falling back" this weekend - here's a tip I post perdiodically about the time change. Yes I'm probably anal, but I think our bodies need more than a day to adapt to a time change - esp kids (I have 3 and the sleep thing gets all messed up).

We turn our clocks on Friday during the day. At first it made DH crazy, but now he's actually the one who reminds me to do it. That way, come Sunday night as we gear up for the next week, we've already been on the new time for 3 days and our bodies have re-set.

But a tip - I always write down our weekend events and what times they are by our clocks and post it on the fridge - so we don't confuse ourselves. Ok - done being anal. Happy Halloween all.

I just makes me completely depressed about the lack of daylight so no need to hasten the experience. I end up coming into work when it's dark and leaving when it's dark. Bleh!

We already had a "time change" episode at our house. I have one of those bedroom alarm clocks that "automatically" changes for daylight savings. Well, of course, it is set for the old time change schedule. This past Sunday, we went about half the day thinking it was an hour earlier than it really was because my clock changed during the night. Ugghh!

Now we have to do it again this weekend!

Actually, I find the fall time change much less jarring than the spring time change. I can get an extra hour of sleep, rather than lose an hour!

Me too, I actually look forward to this time change for the extra sleep, but it means that I have to run in the dark in the evening which takes some time for me to get used to.

Erica!

Just a quick shout out from down south! Glad to hear you are running again. That is GREAT!

I always do that when it is time to set the clocks ahead. DH and I have already decided that we are not setting the clocks back until we go to bed on Sunday night. We will be looking forward to that extra hour of sleep all weekend. ;)
