My DH gave me a compliment.

I was dressing the other day and he looked at me and honey you shoulders look big as h*ll. That made me feel good because I was trying to build them up since they have been looking so skinny. I noticed a difference since I haven't been able to do cardio due to a hurt foot. I think it was Clare that told me to take advantage of this time to build muscle. She was right. Even though my muscles in my shoulders were coming along I have noticed a major change in one month. My abs look better because I am doing the no sweets in a month challenge, even though I've had a couple of slip ups.

I don't take compliments very well,but this one made me feel very good. I feel like I am accomplishing something.

Has anyone experienced more muscle gain by not doing cardio?

Hi Kim!

Yes I have!! In fact last summer I concertrated on strength, still doing cardio but not as much or as intensely as I had been doing. By the end of the summer it was quite noticable..I think my DH's comment was," baby, you got some guns!" :p I actually didn't like it that much though. I wanted to try it at least once, having "big" muscles I mean, but now I like a more lean look, with definition.
