My *ahh haa* moment

Cathlete
Tonight for dinner I cooked chicken fajitas and black beans. For myself, I used Pam cooking spray, and ate just chicken, veggies, and beans.

For my DF, I cooked his in veg oil. As we are sitting there at the dinner table, he is scooping heaps of food into tortillas, covering it with shredded cheese, and scarfing it down.

For a moment, I wanted to be angry with him for getting to eat WHATEVER he wants and staying so thin. But then I realized... Eating crap all the time is not good for his body, not good for his heart.

One of these days, he is going to die young from poor nutrition and inactivity, and I am going to use his big, fat life insurance policy to move to Glassboro, NJ and workout every day at Cathe's club!

Obviously I am kidding, but it was nice to enjoy my dinner knowing that not only does it taste good, IT IS GOOD FOR ME!

Oh, Katie! I can completely relate! My DH eats a ton of ice cream and chocolate, and never seems to gain an ounce. It's so unfair -- but, like you said, at least we're being good to our bodies!:)

Bwahahahaha! I still sense a bit of resentment!

Thanks for the giggle!

Very funny but so very true!

I like the way you think! :p

"Here honey, have more cheese! Then sit down in your La-Z-Boy and play video games all night long. Really, it's okay!" }(
