Muscle Max question

Because of my schedule, I've set aside Tue, Wed and Thursday nights for weight work. Friday - Sunday are cardio. This is because I have to be out in public Tues - Thurs nights and don't want to be all sweaty.

For the last couple of months, I was doing PS and GS. Now I'm ready to change it up a bit. I decided I'd do Muscle Max, but since that's a full body workout, I wasn't really sure how to work this with 3 days in a row designated for weights.

I thought I'd do MM on Tue/Thurs. But what for Wednesday? I was thinking Butts & Guts or another leg workout. But there is a short leg routine in MM. Is that too much leg, do you think?

I have planned to do yoga and core max tonight...but if you have a better idea, that would be delightful.

Hi Donna,

Why not do MM upper body premix on Monday, the lower body work on Tuesday with something added on from another leg workout (either additional standing leg work, or floor work, or both) to give you a more complete workout, then do MM upper body premix again on Wednesday? If the MM upper body work isn't a long enough workout for you, add on some of that yoga, or more core work.

HTH,
Sandra

Oops, I read wrong. Same thing applies, though. Do MM upper body premix on Day 1, Lower body + additional leg work on Day 2, and MM upper body again on Day 3. Will that work?

Maybe...

Monday---Rest Day
Tues--Muscle Max upper body + CoreMax segment
Wednesday--Legs and Glutes
Thursday--Muscle Max upper body
Friday--cardio + abs
Saturday--Circuit routine like Drll Max or a BodyMax2 premix or Bootcamp
Sunday--cardio + abs

Do you have Slow & Heavy, if so maybe a split...

Monday--rest day
Tuesday---S&H Chest/Back
Wed---S&H Legs + abs
Thurs--S&H Bi/Tri
Fri---cardio + abs
Sat--shorter cardio + S&H Shoulders
Sun--cardio premix/circuit of some kind that does cardio/lower body only

If you have three days in a row, then you really should split uper and lower apart. Work one twice in one week and the other twice the next. IE: Week one you do upper twice and lower once and week two you do lower twice and upper once. Otherwise, you are doing a weight workout with your legs three days in a row. SO, I'd say to se the premixes to come up with something that allows you to have the split routine.

The other alteranative is to do exactly what you are doing and throw core/stretch/yoga in on Wednesday in between the two muscle max workouts.
