Muscle Max - First Time

I did Muscle Max today and loved it. Boy, do my shoulders and upper body feel the burn. Barbell pullovers I think I will feel for a while. I really like the slower count. Maybe Slow and Heavy is in my future? The band is merciless that's for sure. I did write down the weights in a notebook so hopefully that will speed equipment changes up next time. The core work is great. I did Muscle Endurance on Tuesday and liked that one too, but think I like this one even better. Isn't variety nice?

As a new Cathe user, I was scared of ordering any Hard Cores, thinking I wasn't advanced enough. Highly recommend MM to anyone, the weights you use will determine how tough the workout is. I have Low Max and enjoy that one too, good leg work in it. Core Max looks interesting too.

Just wanted to share..

Hi Jeanette,
You answered my next question on this forum. Good timing!
I have a few DVDs so far and BC/ME is one of them. Do you think MM is harder than ME? I am only looking for total body workouts as I don't want added muscle size and these work great to keep me in shape. I am really bored with the gym and her videos have revived my interes in working out.
Thanks!
Skye
Oh....are there premixes? so I can do upper body one day and lower the next if I am short on time?

After doing one workout of each, and of course it depends on your choice of weights, I feel more worked out by Muscle Max. I think the band in MM has a lot to do with it, but she does go slower on the count in Muscle Max and I do like that, especially for the biceps. They feel wonderful right now. The shoulders are still burning. I did ME earlier this week when I didn't have quite so much time to get my weights right so that might have made a difference, but overall, I feel like I got a better workout in MM. The slower count on some of the moves felt really good so I may order Slow & Heavy sometime soon.

I just looked and yes, there are pre-mixes on MM. They are Upper Body Only (42 min.), Upper Body Push/Pull (33 min.), Lower Body Only (23 min.), and Timesavery (56 min.) I haven't gotten to look at any of these yet.

I did enjoy ME also when I did it. Love the Glute raises too. Think I will continue on with 2 full body workouts and 4 cardio in one week for another week or two. Still have BootCamp to do yet, have done a cardio only premix on that one and it's a butt kicker.

Love the variety of these workouts. They are both good, but different from each other so to me they are worth having both. So easy to get addicted.

Thanks for feedback and for breaking down the preminxes for me, I think I will order MM next time! I have somewhat the same chedule as you, I am doing 2 total bodies and try to get in about 3 days cardio because I do 2 yoga days and its very intense so I count as cardio. Good luck with bootcamp, I love, love, love it.
Thanks again:7
