Muscle Definition

I have always had problems getting definition. I am also not real strong. At this time I do not want to lose any weight, I would just like to gain some muscle definition and to tone up. I know diet is a big part and I am working on that.

I have just about all of your workouts. Which workouts or rotation would be best for gaining muscle definition and toning up while also gaining strength?

Thanks.
Barbara

Hi Barbara,

Start with doing Muscle Max twice/week for 8-12 weeks, slowly adding weight every few weeks. Then switch to either the Slow and Heavy series or Gym Style Series working 2 body parts / day 5 days/week in rotation so you don't miss any major muscle group. Remember to do 30-40 minutes of cardio 3-4 weekly to keep up your Cardio endurance.

You should see results. Eat clean with lean protein sources daily.

Good Luck.

Not Cathe but I will tell you what has been working for me. I have noticed a big change since I started using Cathe's Gym Styles and Muscle Max. I use all of her strength DVD's and I love them all but if you can't afford all of them I would definitely get those. Also, I eat a lot more lean protein than I used to but I balance it with leafy greens and whole grains. I also drink Lean Dessert and Syntha-6 proein drinks by BSN which have really high quality, easily digestible proteins in them. I believe diet is 80% and exercise is 20%. I think it helped when I changed my thinking about that because I know I have to eat right to get results and not just exercise harder. Hope that helps,

Nicole
