MTV Fitness - Pilates Mix

I love, love, love MTV Pilates Mix. There are two 30 minute workouts and they are both excellent. The first workout concentrates on arms and core work and the second workout concentrates on legs and core work. Back-to-back it is a great full body workout.

Dallas- are you a netflix member? I got the MTV yoga from them to try it out. LOL, I turned it on and the color didn't appeal so I just plopped it back in the mailbox without watching it. I love Netflix- it's saved me from some doosy workouts!!! ;)

The MTV Mix is probably the best pilates workout I've ever done. And believe me, I have a ton. Other than Core Max this is the only home core workout I've done that actually leaves me sore.

I highly recommend it. :)

Thanks everyone! So, it sounds like I should only spend the $11 for the one DVD (pilates) opposed to $18 for all four?

Remember to get Pilates MIX. There is a regular pilates one and that isn't so great. I think Pilates Mix is the only worthwhile one but if you buy the package, you can always eBay the others off. There isn't much of a demand though. I don't know if you want to invest that much time and effort.

Like someone else suggested, if you have a Netflix, it's available there to try out.

You guys got me interested in maybe getting this, but I have a question...

In the description at Deep Discount DVD, for those who have this DVD what does it mean by "you can mix up your own blend of pilates excercise etc" see below

MTV PILATES MIX - 2004
As the name suggests, MTV's PILATES MIX allows you to mix up your own blend of Pilates exercises, designing your own customized workout. Only MTV brings you Pilates with an edge, featuring Kristen McGee as your host, and heart-pumping music by Danny Sullivan.

Dallas I have this one and another MTV Pilates one. I have only done the abs on them so am not sure how I feel. I was getting ready to post and ask if anyone had tried these on the HC checkin. I hate buying things I don't use. Let me know if you get them and how you feel about them. The abs were ok. There were some different exercises that I have not done which is what I am looking for.

fox2star ~ I hope someone answers. I did order it, but just the Mix one. I'll try and post a review when I give a try.

Diane Sue ~ How do you think the abs compare to Core Max? That one is still one of the toughest ab workouts that I own. I don't have much for core work, so I wanted to get some DVDs that work the core in different ways as well. If you find any that can compare to CM, let me know please. :) Thanks. I can't wait for Cathe's new one Butts and Guts, was that the name of it?

Dallas,
I personally don't think it is at the same level as Core Max. It does have some interesting new moves in it though. I feel good if I find something new that I can use when I purchase a workout. It makes it seem worth the money. As I stated in the checkin I do add weights to CM that are not there so it may make a difference. I am not used to doing pilates so some of the moves seemed a little uncomfortable. I think that may be a good thing, because then I know it was something different. I am always looking for something new for a challenge:)
