Yesterday I stepped by our neighborhood pet supply store, for some treats for my girls. The store had two puppies for sale, one pug and a terrier of some sort. (this isn't a puppy mill place--they only sell purebreds from local and reputable breeders, and they rarely have more than four puppies at a time.)
Anyway, I was playing with them and this little boy and his mom started looking at them and playing with them, too. She said something about having a Pomeranian and how much it had cost, I said, "Yeah, well I usually just find my pets on the highway. It seems like people are always thowing out animals." The little boy looked at his mom and said, "Remember when Grandma took those 11 kittens and dropped them on the side of the road and drove off?" His mother said something like she didn't remember it. I asked the kid, "Well, did she get the mother cat fixed after that happened?" His mom said, "No, she doesn't have that cat anymore." I replied, "Thank God!" and left.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
