I'm really enjoying Slim & Lean. Thank you again AmyG and Wendy for bringing it to my attention.
I think the only thing I would change about it would be the tricep segment. For me, those overhead tricep extensions are one of those "muddy" exercises where you don't ever really know for sure that you're targeting the muscle spot on, if you know what I mean. I find that kickbacks, especially cross-body kickbacks, are such a "clean" exercise for triceps. They hit the muscle spot on and don't engage any other muscle. I love exercises like that, because you know you're getting the job done and not wasting your time or using bad form. Those overhead extensions are muddy to me because I don't feel the burn directly in my triceps, and there is some other muscle group, maybe shoulders?, that fatigues too quickly.
Also, is it me or does anyone else find sitting on the step very uncomfortable, even painful in the buttocks?
But overall, I love the workout. I love how it gets the job done in so little time, and is easy to break up into smaller segments. I also love the order of the exercises: some leg work at the beginning, then more later on. When my legs have time to rest, I can do it all and I feel good about myself instead of discouraged as I do when all the leg work is bunched together.
Absolutely the best $8.00 I've ever spent. I would gladly have spent three times that.
