more presale questions

Hi all. Hope everyone's weekend is going well. I saw the news about the presale. I've never done one before and would like to. My problem is we are going on vacation the week of the 4th and I am being a witch about spending right nowx( I don't think my DH would understand my "needed" purchase (since that is all I am authorizing). How long does the sale usually last and does the price go up as the time progresses? Thanks for all input. Wish I could whip out the old Visa on Monday with y'all:+

The pre-sale usually lasts several months, but the price does go up the closer we get to release date. The pre-sale ends as Cathe approaches the release date, at a late stage of the production process, after filming.

I think the best price on the presale is all within a few days. I think the price starts creaping up pretty quick.

The best part about ordering early in the presale is you get your dvd's sooner. See, they ship them in the order that the orders were received. So, if I am the 1753rd person to order during the presale, then the 1753rd shipping label printed will be mine. I have to wait until all those that ordered (ahem...preordered)Have theirs shipped before mine is shipped.

That is how it was done in the past, I can only assume that is what they will do this time.

Some may think "Ah, I can wait while everyone receives theirs"...you just wait!! By the time those things are shipped out, excitement will be so high, you're going to wish you ordered during the 1st hour!

Silly question...
I want to order The Step.
Does the offer for free shipping, if you get in on the preorders, apply for non-DVD items? Anyone know?
Thanks!
Bernadette

No, the free shipping never applies for merchandise, only for DVDs.

And Sarah, you're so right. I remember having to wait and wait last time, even though I preordered as soon as it went up, because I'm out of the country. Everyone had already got their workouts and was doing them and I was going crazy!

In the past, presales have lasted about 3 months, and the price would go up by about $10 every month.

I'm hoping things will go differently this time, and there will be a much shorter time between the beginning of the presale and the shipping of the DVD's, which would mean only one (or possible two) price tier before going to full price.

SNM always keeps us updated on when the prices are about to go up, so if you keep tabs on the web site, you'll still be able to get the lowest price up until the end of that tier.
