More B&TR questions

Squats, lunges, and step ups all make my knees crackle and they sometimes are sore for a day afterwards. I mimicked the B&TR movement on my stability ball and there was no crackling. I'm wondering if this might be a better way for me to work my lower body.

Do the quads get worked with this machine? It looks kind of like a leg press machine. Would I be better off getting a leg press machine? Although they are probably pricey.

I can't seem to get into floorwork. I do a lot of running and spinning and like my legs just fine. I just like to do strength work for them too.

Thanks for any input.

RE: More B&TR questions

This is a great machine for your knees because your body is well behind them when you bend. I used to get twinges from squats and lunges, but all my knee problems disappeared when I got the BTR.

It's much less expensive than a leg press machine, but works on the same principle. It gets your hamstrings a bit more because you push back in an arc rather than straight back as in a leg press machine.

I can now tell that my quads were over developed in comparison to my hamstrings. This machine has made my leg muscles more balanced.

I'm not a big fan of floorwork either, except when I do Pilates.
